I filled the tank of my new car up this morning, 64 liters at PHP24.89 per liter ... a bargain :) Now down to around half a tank, need to fill it again tonight or in the morning for my, hopeful, return to 'my island' tomorrow :) But I've found a way to piss off these local unlicensed jokers on their motorbikes ... As I pass them in my diesel I merely 'boot down' and the turbo kicks in creating a smoke screen that James Bond would be proud of :)

The problem is what is considered honest services? When the internet companies operate overseas, how can you know they are honest? Some people say that some sites are more honest than others. But, that does not mean that certain sites have a monopoly on honest profiles. As in the first post on the topic said, it is all about money. The dating landscape has changed since the 1990s as the drive for profit has spread beyond just the operators of the website. I guess the best honest service would be my relatives' matchmaking introductions. The people that you are introduced to have some connection to the relative or a friend of the relative. It is nearly impossible to meet a scammer this way because the fallout of being introduced to a scammer would have repercussions not only to the matchmaker, but to the person's family as well. The negative of dating this way, is that is very limited number of people that you can meet and similar to blind dating.

This reminds me, in my previous life, my ex suggesting that we get involved in the online dating game etc. ... I wasn't the least bit interested, it was going to take too much time and effort to root out the scammers, my idea was to get in to marketing transport and accommodation ... not so many scammers that way.
