I have found a humorous way to know if the FSC honey I am corresponding with is serious about a future with family life as a main priority.
I tell the story I heard from a good friend of mine in the midwest, USA.
"Life treats marriage as a pair of potatos."
Marriage between two people (can't say man/woman anymore without offending somebody, lol) is like making mashed potatos, the story begins.....because it must face tests, trials and tribulations in their processes that have various uncanny similarities if we are to succeed at both. Let's look at them...
First, you pick two potatos who are similar and compatible in shape, color, texture and/or size.
Then without warning someone skins them alive with a sharp knive!!!
Next, they get their eyes poked out, one by one...
Right after that, a big knife comes in and chop.. chop.. chop...chop...cuts both into smaller pieces.
When you think the worst is over, they get thrown into a pot of boiling water.
And as the final treatment, when they are tender enough, they get smashed repeatedly with a flattening tool until...yes, you guessed it....they are so changed from the original potato that you can no longer recognize one from the other.
Every western woman I discuss this little story with, reacts like a crazy banshee with fire burning its tail in defiance of the loss of her "individuality".
Nine FSC women have read it so far and agree completely with it, because they see their family life reflected in it and accept it as part of the process to get what you want.
Whether you like it or not, marriage life will change everything you now know or do....get ready for it.
well, there's no hiding my age, mind, smash was disgusting stuff, would ruin the analogy, being smashed into dry little peices and then being scalded, won't put that to a Russian girl.:)
PS: Has anyone seen the latest Heinekin ad with the aliens trying to blow the tune from Encounters on the bottles ?
Had me rolling round the floor when I first saw it !!! :o))
