I found this card to have the best connection. Pretty good rates also. Since I've used this card my calls haven't been interrupted or dropped once, and its as clear as talking to someone here where I live.

I liked the Genesis card because it was disposable - when it was used up, you just bought another.
Crash's card appears to be a decent alternative. The Intercall card, even with the 800-number access surcharge, is a couple pennies per-minute less than mine. It's rechargeable and doesn't have an expiration date. Worth looking into.
Seriously, my first phone call to Russia was a direct-dialed call through AT&T. The bill for a 17-minute call was about $84 <cringe>. That's what drive me to phone cards.
For me, being able to call from anywhere was a bonus as well.
