Yes gents, time to congatulate me. I caught my first roborussian. This girl is a 19 year old blondie dish from "kiev" Yeah right. She was always immediately responding to my mails which I found odd. Then I notice the letters a bit suspect. To fluffy romantic to be true. Her responses were too incongruent to my requests-too general. Well her "birthday" is on the 13th of this month. So I said, Give me your mailing address, Birthdaygirl. I have a friend here from the Ukraine who can write cyrillic for the mailing labels. Well, this lady totally ignores this disclaimer and says that Ukrainian mail is too risky with english mailing labels and I would lose her birthday package. BUSTED! One down, 50 to go.
Mark - is it possible that she misunderstood your request? If she was a scammer - why would she supposedly not want you to send her something?
You are rejecting a lady for writing fluffy romantic words to you?
Most scammers don't just write formletter after formletter. They lead you on, often writing very personalized letters (too bad they may be written by a guy).
Unless her letters were incredibly generalized and had nothing to do with what you were writing whatsoever - you may have busted nothing but your chance with a very wonderful Ukrainian woman.
I also had the confusion of the mailing address and genuinely believe that it is SAFER to send letters/gifts via the agency if she advises that. The relationship has never been better. One to go and I still have her. :)
