I’ve been looking into crossing the border, and I can’t find a way to get around going through Russian customs. Her agency wants to sell me a package deal, air fare, transportation, accommodations, interpreters, etc. I want to meet in Kyiv or Odesa once the quarantine is over,, but she insists on meeting in her home town. I haven't seen a decent dating post since Russia invaded Ukraine. I was wondering if it still happened. Dating posts are now confined to porn and prostitution, by two demented individuals. I wouldn't mind any of that, but they passionately defend their posts, and then complain about mine, getting me in trouble. I do not know what's going on in Yalta. I suggest you use the internet and telephone to get a hold of the nearest Russian consulate, tell them of your intentions and comply with their requirements. Do not go around them. Meeting in her hometown is probably a good idea. Apart from the agency is the way to go. You will have to pay the agency. From experience, although she probably have not told you, is she probably wants the money you were going to pay the agency. Take the money you would have paid for the hotel, and give it to her. She would want some money anyway. Give yourself a limit and watch it. One clown posting here gave a humongous E40K to a woman before he realized he wasn't going anywhere. I was in Zaporozhye, Eastern Ukraine in 2007 and in Yalta, 2008. Other than the site for the finalizing WWII agreements, I found Yalta unimpressive. There were many small shops. The place to buy souvenirs were small kiosk type shops. Since it is where the Black Sea is, I expected to see some seafood. I saw none. Zero. Perhaps, it was because it was winter (November). It wasn't that cold. Their delicacy was pizza. Grocery shopping was at a farmer's market. There was a McDonald's about fifty feet from Lanin's statue. I thought that was ironic. It was where I got the food I enjoyed. I understand all of the McDonald's are now gone in all of Russia. Not good. I do not like a lot of their food. We went to a casino. It was minimal, but fully staffed. There were no customers other than us. There were five blackjack tables a roulette wheel and a poker table, and even a bowling alley. They were all waiting for bowlers and gamblers. Again, it was probably because it was winter, and a weekday. No customers. One of the oldest scams in the book, that they have a friend, that they can get a travel agency discount, that their agency wants to offer all services when, in this scenario, if this girl is communicating with you at all, rather than an agency employee sending and receiving fake letters that you are likely paying for, the chances are slim, and if she does exist then the chances are that she is earning an agency commission to entice you there, then, if she or the agency meet you upon arrival at all having already got their hands on your money, they shall be making mark-ups on hotels, taxi fares, there will never be just the two of you at dinner nor alone, always a third person there, in restaurants they shall be helping themselves to order from the menu, likely to be the most expensive dishes, they'll be ordering drinks freely, the two women chatting amongst themselves in their language, they'll likely be inviting friends or family along, so not only will you not know what the hell they are talking about but you'll be left on the sidelines and merely be the idiot paying for it all. Whilst a girl may use an agency for an intro if she cannot thereafter seperate herself from the agency for a one-on-one relationship with you then it's a scam, this girl is a 'non starter', don't fall in love with a picture and move on. My GF’s Russian, Ex husband took a vacation there last summer. I’ve been a long term lurker here and have rarely posted, so none of the regulars know me, but I agree with Martins post - this has scam written all over it. Some extra information will go along way to help experience members give better advice. What site did you meet on? What method of communication are you using? Do you have her personal contact details eg :- Phone number, residential address, whatsapp, Viber, Skype details etc...? How often do you video chat and call each other? The airport in Sumfwroplo has been locked down from international travel since March 2014. There is no train travel and travel on land is a cross the Kerch bridge and an argerous journey through Rostov. Krim is a prison just as Stalin described it when occupied by the Germans in 1943. I’ve video chatted with her a few times, and she matches her profile photo. I believe she could be earning some kind of commission, if I want to get a hold of her on Hangouts, I might need to wait, but if I go to the website, she’s right there. I’m not going to worry about the cost of restaurants, but if she’s just looking to have a good time on my money, it would be our last meal together. Yalta may not be where the fighting is, but it is still being contested. Since it is being occupied by Russians it would be safe for them and least safe for westerners. I’ve always wanted to go there, but if I can’t move in and out at will I won’t go. Can’t fly straight in, no trains and can only drive in from Russia? Has anyone ever traveled there by boat? And for her to say that foreignerrs are coming and going at will, hell nobody it seems is coming and going at will on this planet at present ... except in Yalta it seems ... Get to know the girl, in early letters learn what she does, if she has a job, is that job normal hours and regular days of the week, does she live in the city/town centre or out from the centre etc.,I recall a number of occasions where letters would be transmitted from an agency when the girl would have been at work and often before she would have had opportunity to collect and read the letter of mine that she was supposedly replying to. I recall one agency in Dnipro, it had girls listed from surrounding cities and I had written to one girl profiled as living in Krivoy Rog, which is one hell of a distance from the agency office in Dnipro, my letter would have arrived in the agency late of a night and no sooner would the agency have opened the next morning than I had received a reply. When I subsequently questioned the girl regarding it I received lamebrain excuses that didn't wash and I was to later have it confirmed that it was local common knowledge that that agency practiced fake profiles and/or fake letters. Another agency, supposedly in Kiev but a few checks recognised that their website domain was registered to an address in Odessa that further checks identified was the registered address of a different and blacklisted agency. I started to receive letters supposedly from a girl and some of the crap she was writing could have been from a movie script whilst she explained how she had come across this agency and how good they were etc. yet when I checked their website the agency provided no office address so how the bloody hell would any girl have found them? That was when I learned to always ask of a girl one or two questions per early letter to establish if my letter was being replied to and/or if I was receiving a cut and paste response and having rumbled them the agency tried to bribe me to keep my mouth shut. Months later a guy on the then RWGuide forum was singing the praises of that agency and had spent with them hundreds of dollars supposedly for his girl's English lessons, he wasn't prepared to accept my word for it until eventually I quoted to him some words from his girl's 4th or 5th letter “As I look out of the window at the stars I think of you”, that did it, he did some checking and accepted that he had been scammed, that agency subsequently changed their ID and website but exactly the same format, I recognised their new identity's format and blacklisted them again. I was to later become a somewhat regular visitor of one agency office, there would have been one, two or three office staff sitting there receiving and writing reply letters but not a girl in sight, no visiting customers, no agency website and working from a residential apartment block, it wasn't Anastasia that that agency had partnered with but one of the other notorious scam letter writing outfits but for the life of me I can't recall it's name. The only flights inm/out of any Crimea airport are from/to Russia, kind of like illegally occupied northern Cyprus where the only flights are from/to Turkey, and even the Russian airliners need to take a scenic route in/out of Crimea, no Russian airliners are permitted to overfly non occupied Ukraine during these times so absolutely no chance of a land border crossing in to Crimea from Ukraine. Your girl, as you admit yourself, has to be on the take from the agency but it's no fun sitting there like a dummy at the dinner table whilst the girls are having their own little party, I recall once in a nightclub in Odessa the two girls were trying it on with me and the crunch came when a frigging great platter of food, seafood snacks or whatever, arrived that they had ordered without a word to me, that was when I got up and walked out, they ordered it so they could pay for it, the nightclub couldnb't and didn't hold me responsible for paying :) Loki Member send PM   block PM add to buddies Send: 4/8/2021 3:33:06 AM   Going to Crimea has been canceled, along with her coming into Ukraine. She’s worried about getting back into Crimea. The focus has now switched to going to a neutral location,,, anywhere exotic and tropical. I’m fine with that, it was the plan in the beginning, but it looks like a guest will be joining us. Her friend and interpreter wants to come along for the ride, perhaps in more ways than one. I’ve spent several video chat sessions with them, free ones, not a per minute one. Last night it was from her bedroom, it was quite entertaining. Both look damn hot, and after a few drinks and them getting comfortable,, it was hard to tell which one I was to be dating. She might be a party girl, but as long as the party is with me, who cares. If you are from America and you use bank cards they may not work or if it is found that they are used in Crimea, they may be locked and adverse action taken against you. But it seems that the conflict might all be about to kick off again, good on Ukraine for building a dam to cut off Crimea's fresh water supply but the build up of Russian military forces at the Ukrainian border doesn't seem too healthy. I just wished you luck. My only problem here is with the website being so slow. Fellow members seem to be quite helpful and friendly, haven’t found any porn or prostitution. You also warned me about spending too much money,,, and I answered with a Dirty Harry/Clint Eastwood quote. I know my own limitations. Huck and Martin, new warnings about Covid have come up in Kyiv, and new travel warnings through out the region, Not the best time to travel, but still looking for a scenic destination. Cyprus, for them to travel to a neutral location it shall need to be via Russia and then some but you're being taken for a ride, you're allowing yourself to fall in love with cam show girls, with all due respect you can learn the easy way or the expensive way but you shall learn ... eventually. If you are intent on doing this then at least try applying a 'damage limitation' to it, the world's countries are in lockdown at the moment, want to enter a foreign country then we all need to jump thru hoops, paperwork and tests, if you are considering that they shall meet you outside of Ukraine/Russia then straight away they shall need covid tests, they may cost $100 per person, the tests are only considered valid for some 3 days so if it is going to take them longer than that to travel then they may nbeed 2 tests each, tests that you would need to send them cash for. Then any surface transportation costs you would nbeed to send them cash for, any flights in/out of Crimea/Simferopol airport will be to/from Russia, I doubt that there are many flights in/out of Sevastopol airport currently, so to travel internationally they may need to route SIP to MOW (Moscow) and then connecting flights from/to MOW, getting bloody expensive and they'd also be expecting that you send cash for all their meals etc. whilst travelling.
