It is possible I might decide to drop into one of the dance evenings but I am not going to fork out 300 dollars. Surely when there are 5 men and 150 women, the more men these agencies can get in the better? Anyone know if they will let you in for less? First one $300, second one $250, Third one $200. If it is your first time going over to the FSU countries I would recommend buying a social. Not only will you see 150 to 200 girls you will also meet about a dozen interpreters who will be able to help you with the rest of your trip. Build a network of interpreters in each city you visit and then when you go back you can hire them to help you and it will save you money. In tour package are usually included so called socials. Btw you don’t necessarily have to join these tours – you can go on your own and attend only socials. In short a social is a kind of party or evening where ladies are invited from different local dating agencies, through ad in newspapers etc. Ladies come there in hope to meet their soul mate, but they are specifically interested in foreigners. As the tour groups usually consist of a little over 30 gentlemen and the number of ladies is much more (200-400), every man has a great opportunity to meet very many different women and choose someone special, or several. There is no entrance fee for ladies and there are usually a lot of dancing, contests and other entertainments. jetmba. Sure $300 is a lot of money - but not so much when considered in relation to your airline ticket - your time off of work or the total you have probably spent buying addresses (monthly membership) in these organizations. As one-time participant to two Socials in Odessa (I was...ahem...busy.. with one of the girls I met during the third Social) I can tell you that you will truly have the time of your life. I was sceptical to begin with too. But its worth $300. Ultra is right that there is no entrance fee for hte ladies - in fact they have to be invited - and not every lady makes the cut. When I went there was 15 guys the first night and perhaps 200-300 ladies. The second night there were entirely different ladies and 10 guys. As previously mentioned, I did not attend on the third night - but I was told that there are only 3 to 5 guys. It might seem like a good idea to "crash" a Social. You know...wait till after it has started and then just sort of wander in. Don't do it. At the one I went to there were BIG Russian guys in black, several of them at every entrance and keeping an eye on the party. These guys are collectively called "Security" and they are also stationed at every window and every door in the hotel (at least at ground level) at night. When coming or going you will note hulking figures sitting in darkened lounges sitting in the upholstered chairs. They stay the all night to keep the people out who are not supposed to be there (including your girl if you did not pay an extra room surcharge). Crashing a Social should not be a considered option. If the budget does not fit the entry cost of a social, it is certainly not the tour operator problem. What really pisses me off is the whinning some men do about the costs of going to meet FSU women. It gives all american men a big black and blue eye on our already maligned, misinterpereted and often misunderstood reputation for our capitalist and materialistic ways. If you have the budget and the fat wallet, don't brag about it. It is bad manners anywhere in the world outside of the US. Enjoy your money and spend it wisely. If you are broke or do not have the budget or a stable job to enable financially you to go east to meet FSU women, what the hell are you doing here, lol? Window shopping?
