Are their restrictions in clubs as to what you can wear. i.e. Shirt with a collar? tie? shoes with laces? Do the clubs have any restrictions (such as age). What should I pack in my luggage and can I buy smart clothing over there? (FSU, Baltics)
Training, or sport shoes will get you turned down. Baseball caps dont help either. Other than that dress comfortable and clean and it should be no problem. Clubs do have face control and if they dont like your look then you may get denied entry just because......
Don't take it personal.
Hi Charm,
There are different clubs in FSU – some of them do have the face control and some of them – don’t. And deanis is right - it’s better not to put on tracksuit, sport shoes etc. Put on something nice, stylish, which suits you. And to my mind it is better to bring clothes for different occasions with you; however there are a lot of shops and malls where you can buy something smart, if you want. I suggest you find out the average temperature in cities where you are going. Though it still recommendable to take some warm clothes with.
Have a great trip!
I think it depends to which city you're planning to come, if you're planning to come to a big city, or a middle one you can buy clothes there. But if you choose a small city then you may have problems with buying clothes.
Good luck:)
You better take your own clothes and be sure to take them for different occasions. When you will meet your lady in person you will know what style she prefferes and next time you will know for sure what you should take or leave at home. In general, if you will be dressed up nicely, suite and tie , it will only be a plus for you.And ladies will appreciate it. Of course of ypu go to a night club it can be something more informal, just avoid sport style.
And you better dont rely on buying things here. Yes you can find here everything, but I guess you will have more important things to do then shopping for clothing.
by the way,,,taking your lady shoping can be a greta fun for both of you-and also a great chance to see if she is really interested in you or just in your wallet ;-))
One thing or another, most women are interested in what's in a man's trousers. LOL (sorry Olga)
I am looking forward to shopping (call me domesticated), clothes shopping (hanging around women's stores) can be great fun - I do not understand why most men shy away from this. Food shopping is equally as interesting. Sometimes both can be stressful and it's interesting to see how personalities deal with the situations.
But before going shopping on clothes you should check the sizes, as I guess you know we have different systems on clothes and shoes, so you'd better check that out. And get ready to the fact that you will have to try on many of clothes and shoes, before you will be able to find something that suits you:)
I have bought many pairs of shoes there as I love the styles and the quality.
Although it can be frustrating as I have big feet (45 Euro, 11 UK) but when I find them its well worth the hunting :o)) I bought 2 pairs this time !!
I am the male equivalent of Imelda Markos !!! I just cant resist buying shoes !!
If you spot Russian made shoes by Walex I can highly recommend them, I have a couple of pairs of shoes and a pair of boots by them which still look great after 2 years and are soooo comfortable !!!!
But be wary, many name brands are all over the FSU, D&G, Dior, Lacoste, Boss, Levi etc etc, but unless they are in high class shops, and if they are they will be as expensive as in the UK or US, then they are almost certainly Korean or far eastern knockoffs, but they are very silly cheap, so its not hard to spot them :o)) And many are actually quite well made, so if you don't mind knowing they are not real, but they look the part then you cant lose :o))
She's no oil painting but I think you meant the shoe fetish, right? lol
I am also tempted to do a bit of shopping if I can when over - as you do - when out of rip off Britain. If you have time and know, is it possible to list approx. prices of clothing? (jackets/smart/casual shoes/trousers/shirts/lingerie (for her of course!) the usual stuff)
Clothes shopping is a great way to meet women anywhere in the world.
Few things turn a woman's switch to the ON position faster than letting her dress a man "properly".
1. Look confused or in doubt while inspecting any particular garment (except underwear, you should always look confident while buying clothes to cover your johnson). Any woman in the store will notice your hesitation, they have built-in radar for these things.
2. Once you choose your 'helper' wait to make eye contact and simply ask what she thinks of your choice. Use as few words as possible.
3. Regardless of what she says, continue to look as helpless as possible, you must do your best to awaken her maternal helping instincts. If she is a hard one to get you may add a "ahhhh...the curse of being a single man. Sometimes I think having a woman to help me shop for clothes is worth getting married".....
4. This method is an acquired skill for most men, therefore you must practice practice practice...then practice some more. It does work.
I'm not afraid to admit that under the right conditions and privacy of home (with partner of course) that some swapping of certain items of clothing may have occured. ;) And don't even get me started on lingerie, I'm a nightmare once you get me going...I can't wait to go shopping. She's in for an 'oodevleneya', she knows it and the wait is killing her. lol
I don't even know what granny pants are? :-/
You really must stop dating grannies. lol
The ones that cover everything.
The ones they wear for that 7 day period once every month.
The ones you wouldnt want to have to indentify her body in if she had an accident !!
I love shopping for and with women. There's definitely a fine art to it and I'm already laughing when I see male other-halfs stood outside the stores, too afraid to venture in and get busy.
Playing the 'lost kitten' is a sure way to get personal attention and 'milk' it for all it's worth. I have a story about that but I'll save it for another time. But the opposite approach and confidence can equally work as well but first of all guys...you have to get into the store!
I havent worn a suit and tie in so long I cant ever remember when the last time was. Is it really necesary to have one on when I meet my girl and her family??
I am not wearing a tie for no-one unless it's an act of carnal desire; that doesn't mean I won't look dapper. I prefer a cool and stylish to rat-race stiff and bland white-collar shirt and tie.
