I have just come back for a 16 days trip to Moscow to meet her. We have now applied for a 3 month Shenger visa for her But we already feel that we wish to live together in Sweden What ways is possible for her to come to life in sweden,can we get married in Sweden on this visa. Can we get married in Russia if i have a tourist visa. This will give you your options. The other is patients. There is a way to meet on a neutral Island and get international marriage papers. But it will still take time. You have no business thinking of getting married if you're currently a student, and by your own words, do not have money to support a family. What makes you think you're entitled to uproot any woman away from her family, friends and everything that is now her life in exchange for a dubious (at best) future with you. Clearly she understands the situation just as well as he does. So long as they find a way that "works" (note: where little was offered) is all that matters? Why not suggest (a constructive reply) how much this could cost on a shoe-string budget; how a young couple in LOVE can make it work than simply a lame attempt at a put-me-down?With that information at hand, a better appreciation of the reality of what choices are available can be made. For a starter, he's already been to see her. More than most (I'll raise that issue separately at another time); or do you have to be a sucessful ugly old fart in business to get a pretty young thing who isn't? If he is young and she is young, what makes them any different from a young couple in the US or the UK getting married and not having much money ? Everyone starts someplace mate, and if they are happy and in love then good for them. Howeber, of course the lady will be leaving her country, but people do that all the time when they are skint and have little to go to too, so no biggy. To answer a simple question, Yes you can go to Moscow on a tourist visa and marry her, but you may have to live there for 3 weeks or so before hand, again no big deal if you are commited :o)) Michael, Why doe she need a "lot of money" ? Sweden is a drive in the car from Moscow, the only things he is gonna need cash for is the wedding and the visa !! I really think you guys are being a bit too hard on a guy who is clearly smitten and wants to make an honest woman of his girl, even if he isnt loaded, that doesnt mean he cant do it !!! This isn't some competition of who's the biggest fat cat to claim a prize and if you're not fat, you can't play. Different people have different needs, different standards, different dreams - it takes all sorts to make the partnership work. It would be * boring if we were all the same. I am sure that if needs be, family could be (financially) supportive in the early term if they are right for each other and they have the rest of their lives to build upon that together. It just means no social security of any kind if you dont work. Sweden may have completely different rules too, I doubt anyone looked at those before they p*ssed on this poor buggers fireworks ? !!! You may not have enough life experience yet to help you make the best choices for your future. In some countries, the social system allows those without a penny to their names because they do not work, to hitch a ride on the backs of those who work & sacrifice and pay taxes through their noses. Sweden is one of those countries. Having money does not guarantee anyone to have a succesful marriage in any western country. But on the other hand, getting married, and worse, eventually bringing children into this world without a stable financial situation is flat out selfish, negligent and irresponsible. TimH, Let the kid soak in the whole range of opinions and advice in this forum...harsh as mine might be from time to time...:))) He is young....(and full of c*m).
