I just want to extend my gratitude for all the great information I have compiled reading these forums for the last 5 days. TimH you should market a book. Finding Russian women for Dummies. It would be right next to Windows for dummies but less confusing. I'm new to this site, but I'm not new to the world of scams. I spent 5 years in Uncle Sam's Poor Boys Yacht Club and I've been to 40 countries and have seen alot of them. Same circus just different clowns. I've spent alot of time also on Scam Alert, again thanks TimH. Just alot of information there. I think it should be a requirement for all new people like me to have to spend 5 days reading the forums and scam alert. I don't know all the tricks but I will be better prepared to pick up on the warning signs now. I'm really looking forward to this new adventure and hopefully find a great woman and some new friends here. Thanks everyone for the input. As Forest Gump said Stupid is as stupid does. Later on all
Crash, You bet I am. I met Mark many years ago when I was an instructor at a baseball school in Plymouth Indiana. One of the students was John Dillon. Ray Dillon was his father and Mark was living at the Dillon home in North Liberty. I met him there and became and instant fan. He was driving ASA, this was before his Nascar Days. I have been a fan for over 20 years. Since my equipment still passes tech inspection, I haven't been able to bring myself to buy the Viagra gear, So I still have a large collection of Valvoline.
Later on Crash, by the way I assume Dale E is a fan or Earnhardt is haunting me here as a ghost, just like he did all the years I've watched Nascar.
LoL, Yes everytime I see Dale's name thats the first I think too. Mark has to be the one driver that most deserves to be a champion of the sport and for one reason or another never had his chance. Ive been a huge fan for the last 11 or 12 years. As a matter of fact a few weeks after I'm back from Russia I will be making my 3rd trip to daytona for the pepsi 400. Talk to you later Mike.
Mike:
A pleasure mate, its nice to be appreciated, but its a pleasure to contribute as much as I can, if it saves even one person from having troubles then its worth the time and effort, and the thanks make it even more worthwhile.
" I like driving fast, just ask my local StatePatrol"
Yes dale, but do you win the reces or do they ? ;o))
Crash:
The Rockingham Speedway Olval is 300 yards from my garage mate, it gets damn noisy on race days :o))
There is no Nas there this year as far as I know, the Germans didnt want to fork out the dosh to get the US guys over here so its been postponed, maybe cancelled for future too :o// Makes me wonder why they bothered building such a huge stadium and now its not even going to host the reaces it was built for !!
Oh well, it does get used for Music gigs too, so its not all bad :o))
Yes I know that track Tim! I've watched a few IRL races that were run there. I think they go there once a season. Cool track cause they run flat out. Sorry to get off topic here guys
Rockingham, great race here in the states. 1 mile long oval, when the green flag drops the bullshit stops. Nice women, fast cars, or is it fast women and nice cars? Perfect day, cruising in the hotrod with a nice woman, with Pink Floyd or Eric Clapton on for tunes and some Cognac. Replaced reefer with Cognac, got tired of burning holes in my seats.
No Tim, I watched it on tv but I would really like to see it in person someday. You never know, I might take you up on that. Most likely we'll both be with our ladies by then. Got room for 1 extra? =)
Ahh yes, The Rock. I love the racing there Mike. Just because the speeds fall of so quick there. If you dont have your car dialed in and not staying at the top of that wheel your in for a long day.
Hey guys. Unfortunately I'll miss the Pepsi 400 as I will be in St Petersburg (Russia, of course) with my girl, but if you need tickets for Homestead I have a few extras.
I'm lucky because my girl understands my love for racing! When I first started communicating with some CIS girls, and I sent them photos of me racing...a few immediatly quit writing to me. I guess they were not the right girls for me. When I visited my special girl I showed her a few race pictures, and she thought it was rather interesting, but of course she worries about me a little. I told her I am getting too old for that anyway.
Does anyone have any information about any type of racing in Russia? I have only found very limited info about sports car racing. Kind of funny picturing two dozen Ladas trying to finish a road course race.
I know!! I've ridden in some taxis over there, and it was some type of thrill! Of course there are usually no lane markings in the road so they they just squeese their car in anywhere and everywhere. But I was surprised I didn't see more accidents and fender benders. Same mentality when it comes to getting on a bus or the metro.....push and shove.

Wow four rooms Tim? Nice. You never know I might pay you a visit in the future, would like to see a race at that track someday.
I'll be back just in time for that race Neon. Were renting an RV and going to the infield this year. Might be interested in tickets for Homestead. I haven't looked that far forward yet. I know I'll be there though. I haven't told my lady about my love for racing yet. She may have an idea though as I have taken photos in my home she has seen of me. Plenty of nascar memeorabilia in the background of a few pics. She hasnt said anything and I'm not bringing it up yet. She will know in time.
