I have been corresponding with someone whom I thought to be quite serious about looking for a mate. However, after three letters I have received a notice from Anfisa Breus, who is Manager of Marriage Agency "BLIND DATE". I do not mind paying the fees (I think they are fairly reasonable considering the service that they say that they will provide), but I am curious as to how legit the whole thing is. Does anyone have information about this agency? Is this normal, or is it a scam? If so, I would like to hear about it before I waste my time and effort on a lost cause.
Hmmm. Close check, but you might want to investigate:
Anfesya Grigorivna Breus (Donetsk, Ukraine and St. Petersburg, Russia)

Listen to Nisse he was there, he met Anfisa. Olga our moderator also said good things about her agency in the past. Can't remember which thread, maybe one of Nisse's in the past before he went, not sure though. As for Blind Date, Ive been with them since November. I will be meeting Anfisa in 3 weeks along with my lady when I arrive. Don't possibly screw up a good thing you may have with your new lady lknfor.
Due to my busy life i dont get on here as much as i would like however today i have come here to research a previously read thread about this subject.
However I do not need to as Iknfor has got here first..
I yesturday got an e-mail from blind date as well asking for money...
Yes Ikn, its normal to be asked, and if you are so far not paying for translation, then bet on it that your girl is, and she cannot afford it.
Although, asking after only 3 letters is a bit swift !!!! My ladies agency didnt ask for a month (about 20 letters each way by then) I though that was fair because it gave us time to know we wanted to continue, and as my lady had stuck it that far I knew she was sincere too because it had been costing her to write until then, so I divvied up without complaint, but your "blind date" people are a bit keen !!!
As regards finding one listing on one scam site, it doesnt necessarily mean they are a bad agency, they may have had one bad girl who has hacked off some ifiot and tsaid idiot has trashed the agency all over the place, some men do that because they are assholes !! But I would go with Nisse`s and Crash`s opinions, they know these people and they speak higly of them, that would be good enough references for me :o))
It is a little coinsidental that 2 of us get the request at the same time from the same agency thou. I understand the situation for the ladies and am simpathetic. However other issues are involved with this lady that am not happy with, so it is bad timing to ask for money at the moment. Am hoping me and ikn dont have the same lady aswell..
But there is a rule or two with fiance.com that will in many ways protect you.
If a girls agency ask you for money for translation and letter forwarding then they Must remove your girls profile from the site immediately.
That way they can only take money from one man at a time to write to that particular gilr, they cant have more than one bite at the cherry.
On removal they should give youa direct email address at the agency to which you can write in future.
Now of course this eliviates any more men from fiance.com writing to your girl (and being asked for money to do it too !! naughty naughty !!) But, it doesnt stop that girl being on any number of sites through that agency and remaining on those sites, so check lots and lots of other sites too to be certain that your girl has commited to writing to you, and isnt fishing elsewhere too !!!
I was very fortunate, my Natash` had I think about 6 letters to her name when I first wrote to her, from that day on her letter count never rose unless I wrote to her and a month later I got a letter from her agency, and I agreed to pay for translation because I was as sure as I could be that Natash` was sincere and certainly not mass mailing any men from the site as all the letters she had recieved were from me.
Her agency took her off the site as soon as they had my agreement to pay and the rest is history :o))
Will be back there in a few weeks now and can hardly wait.
I was originally going on June 4th but Natash` has study and exams which finish on the 24th of June so I plan to go then for at least 2 weeks, maybe 3 :o)))
Just a thought! if we both had paid up this agency would be paid twice 4 unlimited translations and courier 4 letters.. I wonder if they would have sent her 2 roses when they took her pic 4 us Iknfor..
Well guys, thanks for the information. I do not plan to pay for a service that very well may be duplicated by others. Especially when I have not really gotten to know this lady very well at all. I could see paying a fee for translation and such, but I would want to know the lady better.
Once again, still "looking for"
