Three Mile Island was in reality a MELTDOWN, but it was contained (yes, some radioactive steam was vented). Chernobyl was far from CONTAINED. http://www.uic.com.au/nip22.htm It is estimated that all of the xenon gas, about half of the iodine and caesium, and at least 5% of the remaining radioactive material in the Chernobyl-4 reactor core was released in the accident. Most of the released material was deposited close by as dust and debris , but the lighter material was carried by wind over the Ukraine, Belarus, Russia and to some extent over Scandinavia and Europe. Only time and effort will erase these effects, which have occured. This would not be the first time, either. You are right, we could probably have a good conversation on religion, I took me many years and a lot of reading before I became atheist, so I am well informed and actually still love the topic. Also, I actually work at one of the state universities here in California, and you are correct, there are a lot of girls with a similar ideology to mine, but there is something about the maturity level...it is just not there. I don’t know if you guys have experienced this, but if you compare a 23-year old European with a 23-year old American, there is usually a huge gap as far as the maturity level is concern. Somehow the growing up process is somewhat slower here in the States. I know, I want it all, but you know what? Thanks to this site I may be able to find out the girl that I am looking for. KI have known many young women over many years both through church work, and at The University of Massachusetts (and Smith , Mt. Holyoke). Many of them are quite mature, intelligent, motivated, educated and responsible. I have three such daughters (18, 20, 22) that are as mature and wise as any Old World Lady. As a matter of fact if you do a bit of reading you will find that the average 18 -24 year old FSU woman has quite a bit of growing up to do still as well. I am surprised Dax, that an informed liberal gent such as yourself would hold the opinion you do about women. Just wondering if your circle of friends would be surprised at your true views, and your obvious scorn for them as witnessed by your participation at this site. The problem with so many western women is not their maturity, it is their indoctrination my a self appointed liberal elite, in to an absurd and surreal feminism. This feminism has not liberated our daughters, and friends, and wives and mothers, it has enslaved them. It has isolated them from the very men that long to treat them as women (which they so desperately desire in their hearts). Modern western liberal doctrine is what has driven men such as us to search for a spouse half way around the world. Our FSU women are not any more grown up. We are attracted to them because of their old world traditional values that have remained amazingly intact despite decades of leftist, liberal indoctrination and oppression. You see, Dax, many of these FSU gals and their mothers, and grandmothers never bought into the official liberal indoctrination.
