I met a Russian woman last March in Moscow. I returned and filed with the INS for a Fiance Visa... It has been almost a year now and no answer from INS has been received. Can I fly back to Russia and marry her and bring her home with me as a family member now? What are teh requirements for marrying a Russian Citizen in Russia. Can anyone help?
Thanks glenn
Hello Glenn! Its very strange that you didn't received any feedback from INS for the whole year...you should call them weekly and ask whats wrong.Perhaps they didnt get your papers at all? I never heared about those cases of silence. Sure, you can come to Moscow and marry her here but it will not make the process easier. A fiancee visa takes the same amount of time as a wife's visa. As for marriage with Russian citizen-you should have a passport, devorce sertificate or a paper from Consulate, confirming that you were not married when you left your country. After that you will again allpy to INS.You will not be able to take her home with you immediately.
I am wealthy and I have no qualms about both visiting Russia, and financing a holiday for my (potential) wife in Australia. In short, I am prepared to risk the loss of some money to ensure my future Russian wife likes the country I am asking her to migrate to. Do you know of any difficulties in obtaining a "visitors Visa" for a Russian Woman to visit Australia? I am not particularly concerned with immigration Visas at this point - one thing at a time!
I have contacted a lady from Poltava in Ukraine. Could you direct me to a web site that has information on Ukraine - I would like to know as much about my lady's home as posibble, as I beleve in mutual respect.
