Hi, I've been corresponding with a Russian woman for some time, and we are both very interested in meeting each other. Does anyone have any advice or tips for me? I plan on visiting her in her homeland. Do I contact Customer Service of Fiance.com to start the process? Any feedback will be greatly appreciated! Thank you, Mark

Difficult to advise mrwickham, I always make independant arrangements, by visit to moldova next week being the exception, even then I had booked my own flights and hotel, but I got to know and trust her agency and have now cancelled hotel and am using appartment of theirs, I tend to be independant, down to individual preference

Wich , what city. The first time I went an agency from my county arranged everything. This time I met a girl here and I have had most of the work myself. Find out what agency you girl is at. Yes she is here but this is not here agency. Email them to help find an apartment perhaps and maybe they will oick you up from the airport but you will probably have to book flights and get a visa yourself. I do not know where you are from so I cannot help there. In Australia I used 1 of 3 travel agent who do holiday for Ukraine and Russia but there are other option. Get the visa youself but it can be painstaking if you need an invitation. Sometimes American do not so, best of luck

mrwick, if you are in the us you need an official invitation, then you can apply for a visa at the us russian embassy. find out your ladies agency and deal with them. if shes independent things probably will be a bit more difficult. customer service does not walk you through anything from what i know, they just offer the girls and represent many agencies that post their girls here.

Go to search---russian visa online proccessing-----at yahoo search. They claim to get you an invitation letter so you can get your visa. If you are booking hotels yourself some offer visa support. The web site I will book my hotel with has visa support---called--visit russia.com-----Hope that helps

AND don't forget about your passport. If you don't have one it could take 6 weeks to get it even though mine came in a month.

Mark, If I was you I would get your gal to meet you in whatever city you fly into the country. For instance have her meet you in Moscow. That way you both have a vacation and she can handle all the language and transportation stuff

Mark, I don't agree with Ben's idea, practical and convenient as it may sound, it is selfish and will cause concern to her family. If you're serious about meeting this woman for a potential long term relationship, go to her city, meet her family...then take your vacation with her if she agrees. Happy trails, Toad

I agree with Toad, for the sake of Any girls familiy`s peace of mind, go to Her city and meet them too !!! Its awfully rude to steal their daughter without actually saying Hi to them first :o)
