Dietz suggested we open some new threads. Without the intention of discouraging anyone. I would like to hear some of the things that went wrong on trips to the FSU. Bad experiences, language problems, flights, travel, customs, things NOT to do, meeting women who turned out to be"not the one", etc. I think we could all learn a lot from such posts. Hopefully so we will know what to do if the same thing happens when we're over there.Which I will be soon.
I know this has been addressed in past posts but Is there any more recent experiences?
What you are asking regarding negative experiences meeting FSU women needs to be taken with a grain of salt.
Many men come back disgruntled that an FSU woman rejected them after meeting him, regardless of the reasons for the rejection i heard some men complain that she was not 'the one' because she padded her bra for every photo she sent him over six months of correspondence or that she only wanted to go shopping when they finally met.
I have a theory that for every single FSU scammer out there trying to get into our western pockets there are hundreds of western men UNDESERVING of the ideal FSU woman and the best any of them have to offer.
"...language problems, flights, travel, customs, things NOT to do..." These stories have been told and retold countless times and unless you have a particular concern affect your specific travel plans, I would suggest to let them be.
I know I'll have a gazillion questions about the particular airports I will land on when I meet my first FSU woman in her home turf....until then, I rather get a more balanced mix of all types of experiences, not just the bad ones.
Ben, if you don't know Russian please take my advise and hire a translator. You will find it to be invaluable.
Customs is not a problem.
If your lady asks you to remain silent for any reason, don't ask questions, just do it!!!!
At the airport when I was leaving we couldnt let go of eachother for quite a while. I noticed a few guards noticing and I don't think they like it one bit because I was a foreigner. When I tried to pass through they stopped me and took my passport. They started talking to me in Russian and luckily my translator was still nearby. She came to my rescue and I have no idea what she told them but they let me pass, but watched me for quite a while. I was wondering if anything would happen but thankfully nothing did. So be careful with being affectionate with your lady in front of authorities, I dont think they like it...
Ben
I think if you plan to go and meet numerous women then the cost of hiring a translator is going to come into it, this with cost of apartment and potential agency costs of introductions to women is going to bang up the cost.
If you only go to meet one woman and you put alot of time and effort into getting to know her, and if she does speak English, then its possible to make the trip without spending alot of money, and if things go well, then you've hit paydirt.
Everything else is in between, with the potential of something going wrong having a backup plan is critical.
As much as the men think its like being a kid in a candy shop, the woman that you meet could just not be attracted, they're not all just desperate for a ticket out, no matter what some people may say.
Whatever people may tell you went wrong for them, its only one side of the story, best thing is just go.
Hey Paul--good advice. I am just meeting with one woman. We'll be together for five days. I have considered that after meeting, one of us might not be attracted to the other. Man that would suck! I don't have a back-up plan if that happens. It sort of all or nothing, lol.
Ben
If you've put enough effort into knowing the lady, writing, phone, then there is a good chance that things could work out for you.
I did a write one visit one trip, it didn't work unfortunately, but then I did it again to meet another lady and it did, this was without use of agency or interpreters involved.
I gotta say maybe the first one failed cos for me it was first time in FSU, agency was involved, interpretor maybe caused some confusion, I can't say for sure.
Main thing is go! try to relax and enjoy yourself, take in as much as possible of what is going on around you.
My best advice is evaluate carefully what your lady does, not what she says.
