Girl from Moscow, You have my sympathy. A friend of mine helps me alot with the disappointment of searching for true love. He says he has just done you a favor and you can't see it. I respond to many ladies with no responce others disappear sometimes I don't take time to say I'm not interested or I've found someone of more interest. I have ideas to do such but my time is short so I write to those I have interest in. I know he has told you the words of the emotion that we search for.( LOVE ) The emotion would have him with you.
GirlFromMoscow: If this man was your true love, he would have continued corresponding with you. All western men are not alike. I cannot speak for your friend: he may have personal issues. Maybe he has found someone more willing to move to his country. You need to forget about him,... maybe he will call,...maybe he won't. A beautiful, young, woman, like yourself, should move on. There are good men out there in the world, waiting to find a woman like you.
I would like for my woman friend in Russia to move to New York, but she is not ready to. She has a wonderful family, an eight year old boy, and her own flat. I can understand why she is not ready. Since I truly love her and her family, I have decided to move to Russia to be with my love. I decided to study abroad, in her city (I will be taking a Russian Language class first, of course).
My point is, if he was the man for you, he would have done anything in his power to be with you. I wish you good luck.
I hope that was his wife. And she takes him for everything he owns!!! This clown needs his ass whipped and stuffed in a dumpster. Damn, it just reinforces the reason why I hate lawyers.
My heart goes out to you little lady. Most lawyers won't have a reflection in a mirror blood sucking scumbags!!!!!
Janet
Your experience is sad and disappointing, I find it curious why someone cannot just tell the other they want to finish, it happened to me many times when corresponding in the past with women from FSU, but its apparent we all have different values and character traits.
I think you should see this as something important, don't be over influenced by someone's status, looks and above all what they tell you, OBSERVE WHAT THEY DO, over a period of time, this will tell you more.
You sound like you know what you want, we are I think all supporting you here, so stick around, your views and opinions are appreciated.

He was very clever, too clever, client got off...
and now he is "helping police with enquiries"
(and office closed)

and rich lawyer is not "good" person...

Lawyers and doctors aren't all they are cracked (or coked) up to be. My father was a prominent patent lawyer and he was also a brutal alcoholic that made lots of money (big deal, anyone can make money) and lost it all when he screwed the IRS(big deal, anyone can lose money). When basing your decision on your man, I suggest that one not make carreer TOO much a priority. I really would examine lifestyle and honesty. P.S. To any doctors or lawyers out there: Sorry for the blanket statement, I realize not all of you are abusive, coke-tooting, gun-toting, well-polished velveteen Neanderthals. But to the lady: a career is just one facet of a person and not the definitive. Otherwise he's a workaholic and won't give you the time of day when you get over here.
Don't broad brush gun toters either please!!I've never used mine
illegally and I have a permit to carry. I did deter one young gentleman from doing some late night shopping in my home. Are
NRA life memebers neanderthals?
I have some issues with having to have a permit to carry a firearm. When it gets right down do it, I view such legislation as a violation of the intent of the 2nd amendment. As such, getting a permit re-enforces the government ability to enact such legistlation.
I am not a gun nut, either. Anyone who establishes a view of wanting the 2nd amendment to be enforced, is generally white washed as such, when all those I know are very responsible in that regard. The purpose of a the 2nd amendment is ultimately to state "you have the right to defend yourself".
Mark,
Although I'm neither a lawyer or a doctor, I wear my 'neanderthal' label that most western women insist on pinning on me as a badge of honor, lol...:)))
After all, the Webster and Cambridge dictionaries define Neanderthal as: "One who walks erect"
I like the way you think Scott... but the permit is not for carrying a weapon it is only for concealing a weapon. Most places here in the west you actually can wear a gun if it is visible. However there are certain cities that have restrictions. In Arizona you'll see the bikers come in to town on their Harleys, most of them wearing side arms on their belts. Quite a sight.
Scott,
I'll go you one better on the 2nd Ammendment. It wasn't just for the normal reason of defending yourself. I believe it was also for the right to defend yourself against the government. Every other ammendment had to do with the limiting of the power of government. Why would the 2nd be any different? The founding fathers understood how easily a democracy could be hijacked by those in power. They wrote the Constitution to thwart those attempts.
Have you read the laws written in the last 100 years? They are all about limiting the power of the people. This is a drastic departure from the first 100 years.
I'm not a gun person, but I would defend your right to have one.
