Just a general question and it's not burning me up too much, but I have been contacted first by many women who wind up on the Miss Wow list. I think about 5 or 6 already. I don't think I'm chopped-liver, but c'mon,I'm a 30 year old white guy with brown hair. I don't really respond to them because I'm pretty faithful to my one correspondent. Are Miss Wow's usually scammers by rule of thumb?
Mark are girls usually scammers by rule???:)) No the rule is not that all girls are scammers, and the rule is that not all Miss Wows are scammers, they may become scammers even by not knowing that (when a person especially Miss Wow puts up her photo album in the Internet, there is a huge possibility that her pictures will be stolen and used in the wrong way), because such girls are so beautiful that ALL men like them at first. And by that you may catch many people, IMHO, neved did that myself, and I wouldn't think about myself as a Miss Wow, but I try to think out the way it is done:)
Mark, Miss Wows get into that catagory by receiving the most letters that month. If an average looking girl sends out 300 letters and half the men reply, she could easily become a Miss Wow. I don't necessarily think that being a Miss Wow makes her a contender for Miss Universe.
Mark, we do not keep scammers profiles on the site.
If lady gets more messages then any other-it doesnt mean anything. Some ladies are completely ignored while they are in a catalog, they have to e-mail first to many man just to make someone pay attention. many of those will send them decline messages and those messages will still be in their stats.
We had a phone call from manager of one agency a couple of months ago. Their girl was in this miss WOW section, and some men complained that they received identical first letters from her.
But the fact was that among over 100 men who wrote her before were only a couple of men who were seriously interested in her. They both were almost 25 years older then this girl. Of course it was not what she wanted and she was sending her introductory letters. But it doesnt mean she was corresponding with hundreds of men.
There are so many men who are afraid of being scammed...If only those men could read some russian forums where ladies describe their stories of being deceived by foreigners. About men disapper after few years of correspondence , about those men who are still married but use dating sites and come to visit ladies on love tours etc
Whats Im trying to say here-lets avoid generalization.Scamers exist( from both sides), but this is more like an exception, not rule of thumb.
Thank you Olga for explaning the other side of the coin.
I wish more men interested in FSU women would read this threads more often.
BTW, the majority of Miss Wows I've seen in this site are not what I'd call top of the line in female beauty compared to the many others available here.
My lady was on Miss Wow for about 1 week way back when, and she didn't write so many letters. She was posted on this site for about three weeks, so alot of you dogs out there must have liked her, lol
What I'm getting at is don't think that just because they are on Miss Wow that they aren't serious. You just might be missing out. I agree that many of the miss wow's arent so hot, but there are a fewwww
I have corresponded with 3 miss wows( my girl was not a miss wow) and the three I wrote to, I wrote to for 3 months, all good girls, never asked for anything, I have just told them that I am withdrawing my profile and they all wrote back to say they were a little upset, but that could they have my private e mail as they would like to remain friends.
So my answer is Mark, in my experience, no

Now the dog thing was a cheap shot lol! Hey this dog don't stay on the porch. Plus even a blind dog can find a rabbit once in a while.
I have a dog also, he's blind in one eye, missing an ear and a hind leg and no testicles, his name is Lucky!
Sorry to be subscribe to my own paranoia. I hve not had any "scam" experiences with Fiance.com at all. I was just wondering what was up iwth this. A while back I read about the Miss Wow as a Miss-Don't-Even-Bother. Just curious.
I am with you Mark never been scammed, was once aked a funny question once, ended that converstaion and there was one girl who's first letter was idebntical to someone elses, asked her why, she never wrote again and that's the sum of my bad experiences
"....I am in Barcelona today, itīs 36 degrees, fantastic, had to pop into air con internet cafe for a while.."
For those US forum readers trying to figure out if Trad lost his marbles, it's CENTIGRADES not Farenheit Degrees that he is talking about in Barcelona, lol
Prety warm, indeed....:))
35 degrees is pretty close to freezing temp, lol...so unless you're father is a polar bear and your mom a penguin, you better be talking about centigrades, lol...
Trad,
The metric system and centigrades are far from being accepted in the states. The lousy educational system in most states can barely teach the basics as it is.
I'm fortunate for having grown up in south america with the metric system. Made it easy for me to learn about pounds, gallons and degrees (even if it doesn't make much sense, lol)
