I have noticed that the ladies that post their profiles seem to be majorly non-smokers is this because they dont want to or because they cant offord to? Also do they think of this as a turn off like they do someone who can drink a whole bottle of vodka and still walk strait? again im just curious.
Tyson...to my mind the idea that "they think of this as a turn off like they do someone who can drink a whole bottle of vodka and still walk strait?" is a very odd one. It's not thought to be good or bad to drink the whole bottle of vodka and then go straight or not...it depends on a person, and if a man can't do that, it's not his fault, the only thing is that one should know his limits and never step over them:))))
Smoking...is the same thing, ok it's thought that a girl shouldn't smoke, at least until she gives birth to a child, and until she reaches to age of 35-40. OK there is such an opinion. but to choose a girl on the criteria smokinh/non-smoking...is not a wise idea, don't you think so??:) It depends on each person as well, as many other things. Some think that a man who smokes is a bad man, or a bad girl. I myself got so used to the smell of smoke, that I just can't imagine a man without that smell (my dad smokes, and my boyfriend smokes, and many my friends do, so I got used to it)...so it all depends:)
As I said smoking is not something bad or a tabu. OK elderly people dislike smoking a lot, even when it's a man smokes and not a girl. But it's nothing wrong in that, especially if you smoke good sigarettes which have a nice smell:)
what types of cigarettes have a nice smell??? are you talking about little rum dipped cigars or cigarettes? I smoke Marlboro's or Newports both are menthol's they taste great but I dont know about the smell =) thanks for the replies by the way.
You're welcome Tyson, well I talk about cigarettes, as far as I know none of my friends liked a man with a cigar...for the majority of my friends the view of a man with a cigar is a funny one:)
About the smell, well I talk about not cheap cigarettes, of an average class and price.
My dad smokes Monte Carlo for example. And the cheap cigarettes smell awful!!!
:))))))) Dale that would be funny if not so sad!!! I know some couples which ruined their relations because of the argues about smoking...which is a very sad thing!!!
I smoke also but hate the smell of them. I soon hope to quit but that is easy said than done. Clothes stinks, house smells like smoke, burn holes in the carpet and couch, and most importantly is the health issue.
I am a clean freak so I clean my home everyday I mean spotless. Do any of you have mini blinds or tried to clean say the window sills? it can get really dirty fast if you smoke alot. Also when I was in college I worked for a carpet cleaning service and my god you should see what comes up out of the carpet!!! like gallons and gallons of nicotine!!! ok I will get off the cleaning subject now =)
I am sure some ladies do smoke too, they just dont write about it in their profiles.;-))There is a certain image of what foreign men seek here. Noone wants a wife who smokes, at least here in the agency "no smoking" is one of the main men's requirements for potencial wifes.
And ladies know very well about it. Only very few of those who really smoke will really write about it in their profiles.;-)
Pitchka,
Why are you picking on Marinka?
Her opinion was perfectly well expressed, even if it meant a disagreement or different point of view.
Opinions do not need to be humble, Marinka..:))

"...Clothes stinks, house smells like smoke, burn holes in the carpet and couch, and most importantly is the health issue..."
Dale,
The sooner people recognize the health implications of smoking, the sooner we will get rid of this man-made plague.
I few weeks ago one of my clients, an oncologist, showed me this medical article with statistics about tobacco smoking in the 20th century being directly responsible for killing more people that all of the following:
All the 20th century wars (including civil ones), reported murders, recorded car accidentes, terrorist acts...and a few other ones I just can't remember.
The proportion was 3:1 in favor of tobacco deaths.
In each and every country of our beloved and blatantly abused planet there is a direct relationship between people's longevity stats and the amount of tobacco it consumes per capita. Japan, I think is the only exception.
Tobacco is not the only factor guiding this numbers, but it is one of the largest ones, like alcohol and national healthcare infrastructure.
And Olga is 100000% right!!
Heck!! The only time I would want to see my future wife "smoking" is while we're bone dancing...:))))
It's been a few years since California passed strict laws against smoking in public places. Bars, restaurants, public buildings, etc, etc...At first smokers raised a stink about it but now everyone likes it.
Businesses that were worried they'd lose their patrons did not, quite the contrary. More people go out now because there's no tobacco stench to reckon with when we go to a bar or restaurant.
Kids, stop smoking...you'll live longer, happier, healthier and more productive lives.
Toad I'm not picking on Marinka, I just try to tell that when expressing the point of view, a person shouldn't speak for everybody, but for himself, and for the information he knows for sure. When you express your opinion it is a good thing, to my mind, write that it's only yours opinion, thus admiting that there may be many many others...and if a person states something without such words, somebody may think that that person is speaking for everybody...and I guess you know that I'm against generalizing in our life!!!
Maybe my words sounded too tough, but I learnt that it's better to start writing correctly from the very beginning, and not when these words may cause some problems...again I'm not saying that Marinka's words caused some problems...but to my mind it's always a good idea to write "to my mind" or "IMHO" so that everybody understands that a person speaks for himself only:)))
Dear Pitchka,
Telling Marinka what she should or should not say or even how to say something sounds blatantly condescending and rude on your part.
Please express your opinion using any form you wish, and let others express themselves as they see fit.
Be well, laugh often.....(and when you want to express your opinion I'll be more than happy to give it to you..:)
Now I'm off to make some moola till later today.
Kids, play nice with one another.
Dear Toad, I never say what one should do or say and what not.
I said how better it would be, not only for her but for others, and I spoke to myself as well.
Heres my two cents =)) If you don't like it, oh well. Smoking is a disgusting habit, and the last thing I ever want is to kiss a woman that tastes like an ashtray. Ever go to a club then smell your clothes when you come home? Its gross, and any woman I ever met with a cigarette dangling out of her mouth is about the biggest turnoff in the world.
Only my opinion so dont all of you get too upset, lol
