How do you define professional or amateur? One who has only been to a visa free country is an amateur and one who has been to other countries are professionals? That's narrow thinking. Russia might be a better place, but for many, Ukraine is enough. The Ukrainian might not work out, but the Russian might not either.
Why must we label people who are trying to find mates? If we are having trouble, perhaps we should consult someone's advice who is a professional or one who has been around. But, in the end, it is us who will end up with a wife. To be called one without balls or amateurs for not going the country that requires a visa or a professional for going sounds to me as a person who is holding a grudge. Educate them and let them decide.
I too am a little perplexed that one forum member, in this thread, accused others of coming here and "making up stories"?!?!
Good god, do we have to take statements now from witnesses to statify this poster? I, for one, have better ways to spend my time.
I have to admit that I have never been to an FSU country that currently requires a visa. Neither Ukraine nor Moldova currently require these documents, though I went to both when visas were required.
I still happen to like the experience of a Romance Social and the two companies doing these still (good AFA and crappy Anastasia) ONLY currently conduct European Socials in Ukraine (these are apart fro Asian and South American evebts). Both compaines used to conduct Socials in Russia and if AFA still did I would be very tempted to go.
Jet...while you were gone for a while, there was a member who still writes on this forum that wrote such idiotic stories you had to wonder how true they were......most just got you scratching your head with disbelief......my favorite was: ~jee, I don't have the money to vist the gf a second time, so I should just file the K-1.
There are several aspects that I think are important in looking for a wife in FSU, one is being somewhat well off financially and second is being realistic in what you are looking for( if you can't get a younger girl at home why try in FSU). I understand that divorce rates are almost 50% across the board but why make more hardships than there already are!!!
"Once they realized I was very serious, and well above average I had my pick of the litter so to speak. "
That is funny......does that include picking up on imterpreter, or getting laid night before meeting another girl and lieing to her about leaving the city? Please make she the wife is away while responding back......
You are talking about me, of course Beemer. That's somewhat accurate, but not quite. I said I didn't have the money YET. I have not given up and neither has she. She knows my financial situation and still wants me. Things will not be this way for long. Our giving up or anything else is not dependent on what you say.
I too scratch myself in disbelief that you come in here as an expert, have been here for at least five years and still not married. You had told me things to do that you had no business in telling me. Why don't you work on yourself? Start with losing weight. Perhaps it's because FSU women don't like men who don't care about themselves.
That's right Mr Bull, I didn't have to say much for YOU to know!!! " I didn't have the money YET"
"YET".......Well what are you waiting for, hasn't it been almost 2 years since your last visit? How hard is it to save a grand to visit the girl that is supposedly to become a wife? I would think someone serious would work their butt off with second or third jobs to make that money but nooooo, you spend all your time on these forums( even while at work) spuing out your endless drub. She only wants you because she has nothing else...fact is both of you have nothing else. YOU, Mr Bull even stated here you hadn't had a date in 3 years before going on first trip to FSU.....so YOU are not much of a prize!!!!
So I have been here 5 years? Where did you find that fact.....I know from that thing you call a brain...look back in this forum, that should be your proof!!!
I'm happy with my life, I have a life, not a forum......friends, family, date quite often( younger women) and lots of work.........if marriage doesn't come so be it. Start losing weight??? What a laugh, just another one of your mindless thoughts....go work on the converter for your microwave oven
I too travelled to Ukraine when visa's were required, it wasn't difficult, and I would buy double entry visa's (valid for 6 months) so I would only make one visa application per two trips and, as for completing the application form, hardly rocket science, once the initial application form has been completed one keeps a copy of it to duplicate the same information thereafter, it certainly didn't tax MY brain cells too much.
Likewise when I applied for a visa to Russia, I've probably still got a copy of that application form somewhere to duplicate in the event that I should make another visit.
For the record, it wasn't ragingbull who wrote the lines I was sort of poking fun at. It was Ralph29. The two sentences preceding that one even say more.
"After a few days of this I told them I didn't want to meet the rest of the dates they lined up for me. They were even telling me a lot more girls wanted to meet me. I suppose after I arrived and spent time with their office staff the flood gates opened. Once they realized I was very serious, and well above average I had my pick of the litter so to speak."
I hate to break it to this guy but they don't hold back on the choices available to a guy according to whether or not he is "above average". These are (they hope) for profit businesses and they hope to make some money off of you.
Forgive me for making a rather crude comparison but it reminds me (just a little) of the guy who visited a brothel and was amazed because every girl in the room wanted to sleep with him. He though he must be a STUD! (And certainly above average.)
The girls aren't hookers, of course, but if some guy shows the initiative and has the cash - most of the girls will certainly meet you. And the agency administrators will certainly let you try to whoo any girl you care to.
okay, I am humbled now. but I stuck to my guns and isolated myself from the agency in question as far as meeting new women. I didn't travel there for sex. that would be a total waste of time...
And yes it was I who made comments about someone living in a fantasy world. if you had been reading some of the things posted over the past couple years you could easily see what I'm talking about. I tried to divorce myself from the 'feud' that was going on. Sometimes I just grin and think, "What the hell is this guy talking about?" But I will now and then add something in response to a 'way out there' remark.
Of course you could address the "way out there" remark. Others do. Start with this thread where you made the claim. Instead, you say it is fantasy. Apparently, only you can see that. You yourself have made such remarks. Does that mean you are in a fantasy world with your stories?
Another comment to Ralph29 - I fully agree with you that the first time traveling there its great to have an agency or company looking out for you.
I attended a full fledged Romance Social the first time for that exact reason. Yeah - it isn't cheap - but all my worries were taken care of and I didn't waste time just trying to figure out a new environment.
I also agree that its best to find a lady that speaks English from the get-go. Some will argue that point and of course they have valid opinions, but I think its the best way. There are so many beautiful women out there that although you are reducing the potential group from which you might find a lady, because of this requirement, there are still so many to choose from as so many speak English.
And after you have established a relationship - the next time (as you mention) SHE can help you set things up.
Here is a story. Ralph, you can file this under "What the hell is this guy talking about?" file. Beemer, this is a lesson for you.
I started taking the bus to work. At $1.25, it is cheap compared to the gas and upkeep of the car. I don't have much to walk to and from the bus stop and I don't hassle with parking.
A pretty petite blonde made room for me to sit beside her when I was standing. She had a frown on her face, her legs were crossed, her arms folded. She obviously had a lot on her mind. I left her alone.
The next day, she was there again, same frown, legs crossed, arms folded. This time, I talked to her. She has been taking the bus, I just have not noticed her. I detected an accent. It wasn't a Spanish accent from Mexico or Central America as I knew it. Blondes don't come from those countries, so I thought European. I asked her. She did speak Spanish. She was from Colombia.
We talked and got to know each other. She was 34 and living with her aunt and cousin. Her mother, father and siblings are in Colombia. I asked her how long she has been in America and she got here. She said tourist visa three years. Three years? Tourist visa is only six months and renewable once for another six months. Teary eyed, she looked at me and I patted her shoulder and told her it was alright.
A woman with a toddler came into the bus and I jokingly told her that I bet she wants one of those. That put a smile in her face and she said she has to adjust her status first. This woman's biological clock was in overdrive. She began to enjoy watching the toddler and other toddlers as they came into the bus.
The next day, she was there again, waiting and saved a seat for me. Before I took the seat, I noticed she was fixing her hair and her eyelashes. There was no frown, crossing the legs or folding her arms this time. She was all smiles. She told me where she worked, and where she went to school. She told me her cousin picked her up to go home at night and hinted that I could pick her up by asking about the car I drive. She was learning English at a nearby college.
Gosh, I think I could have talked her into anything. Honestly, I was captivated. What did I do? I thought about my gf and our commitments. I no longer take that bus. There is a bus that comes thirty minutes later. I never saw her again. This was a month ago.
And ALL the above bulls**t and acrimonious comments, bitching, back biting, bileous remarks relate to bring gifts to FSU ladies do they? Get a life!!! Does it REALLY matter whether or not "he" tells lies? Whether "he" lives in a fantasy? Whether "he" has a gf or not? Gf could be bloody gold fish for all I care. I joined this forum to try and gain some SENSIBLE insight and advice on how to conduct myself whilst dating an FSU lady. Having read this thread from start to finish I now understand why some of you "men??" are single!
