Next step to get visa. I would like any help you can give. I have never been out of the US. I would like to know about not using a travel agency with a tourist visa. Is it to much trouble to visit more that one city. I have ideas to visit Simferopol and Kiev. It seems I would have to have a letter of invitation to both cities. I also need another picture. Could you gemtlemen give me some ideas about what I need. It is suggested not to book a flight but if I wait, the prices just keep going up. How do you fly to be thrifty with your finances? Any and all your help is deeply appreciated. Thank you!!
I recommend Aeroflot flights directly to Moscow from New York or LA. Then one of the regional airlines from Moscow to Kiev. Much less exhausting than stopping at every major airport along the way!
No invitation letters are necessary for citizens of the countries of the European Union and US, Canada, Japan citizens for obtaining service, business, private, cultural, scientific and sporting visas.
Hm again i didn't read well i was going to tell no need for invitations but toerist visa's where not listed here.
D) Tourist Visa:
A request for a visa typed on a Ukrainian travel agency's letterhead, signed by its manager and accompanied by a printed itinerary of the applicant's visit listing the cities and/or towns to be visited and the names of hotels the tourist will be staying at, exact dates of accommodation with confirmation numbers.
MILK COW.
Then instead of an answer i have a question, does learning russian on on of those language school's fall under cultural or tourist in the ukrain?
Second question has anyone ever travelled on a business visa in russia, while not being a business person. Are there risc involved, they seem to be on sale everywhere including invitations.
Third an idee, since one doesn't need an invitation for business or privat visa, can one not just get one, no questions asked?
exact dates and confermation numbers. sounds easier to get invitation and visa, you are much less restricted. US residents pay less than most anyway, i do not know why. not enougth to make me want to be an american though.
south, i am getting 1 invitation to visit 2 cities. It is still in progress but I am told that all is O.K. On my invitation it application it asked me to list the cities I wishes to visit and a tour company is doing it all.t was actually cheaper to get them to do it than to get the inviation and visa myself.
Well as I said, the question was on the aplication. To my understanding when I was in Russia, if you have an invite and a viss, you are free to move as long as you check in with police in each city. If you have no invitation, you must stay at the same hotel as they are your host, therefore no invitation is required. I know we are talking about Ukraine bit I currently seek a visa for Ukraine and am told al is ok so far. I hope so I go in 3 weeks.
Bearus. I wrote to a girl in Belarus but it did not last long. She told me how cute I was and I asked all these questions about her and what she was seaching for and never wrote back, unlike my pretty in Ukraine. Follow the connection I guess
If you decide to get your visa yourself you might try OLNA Inc at www.ukraine-visa.com or www.russia-visa.com. I have used these people and had no trouble. Visa to Ukraine is $150 and that includes the invitation. You type in all your information online and send in your passport with a picture and it comes back ready to go. They even have offices over there that will register your visa for you. Worked great for me (3 times) and I didn't have to worry that I was sending it off without the correct info. Of course it costs a little more, but there was no worries or problems.
