I seem to be unable to find out what happened to that bill. -And you should check information for yourself anyway...-don't trust me! I have no criminal record, but it would somewhat annoy me to have to give it to any agency! Despite the cracks it may develop regarding security and criminal record disclosure to any foreign bride, I am adamant about protecting my privacy until I, me or myself alone decide to share everything about me with the woman I have chosen as my future bride, not her agency. There are already several ways for any individual or agency to verify if any male candidate is listed as a potential threat to society because of his previous criminal record. Just because some countries have bred criminals like Geoffrey Dahlmer, Jack the Ripper and the never ending list of catholic priest who prey on children of either sex, does not mean that every man from that country is a criminal or should be treated as a suspect. I do not have a criminal record, and like my profile says, I do not collect human body parts in the freezer...(only rib-eye steaks, salmon, several bags of frozen veggies and the ocassional bottle of Tequila Anejo)...so I'll be dammed if I will ever volunteer to let any form of profitable private enterprise foreign or domestic (agency) to feel free to snoop around my private records. I don't like government's "Big Brother" concept at all. But let's say you've been corresponding with a woman for nearly a year, only for her to finally learn that you're a convicted toad molester.Unless she's as weird as you, she pretty much wasted a year of her life. So when should the disclosure begin? Also as far as P.I. investigation, sure they can find out your past but do they know what evil thoughts are lurking in your head for the future? The 'toad sexual molestation' criminal record is the easiest thing to have covered because in most states every felon convicted of a sexual crime is listed for life and must register with the local authorities...and that even includes people convicted of seemingly minor sexual offenses, like getting laid in the backseat of a car or having sex with your partner in public places....YES, even if you do it with your SPOUSE! It's ironic that for violent crimes like rape, assault or even homicide/murder in many cases, there's no such requirement. After a whole year of correspondence, it should be reasonable to assume that the topics of discussion have included a significant amount of sex talk, preferences, experiences and desires. Regardless of how much an extreme violent sexual deviant tries to mask his purpose, I always say it takes two to tango. I have, several times, suggested to an eastern woman to find a relative, friend or acquaintance already living here to contact me to verify any and all of my claims if they have any doubt about me. It's cheaper than hiring a PI for them. Same like some services offered for a fee checking upon a woman's integrity they also can check on yours, mine, ours, for the simply fact that paid-for leaks exist. The fact is that few will do it because the financial threshold is an obstacle for a lowly earner (no offence). Both have the disadvantage that belief or trust has to be placed in the service hired, and, because this would have to be done via remote, this may be a drawback. Not the agency Toad, the woman according to Sanch's excerpt. Hardly a difference though, and I just wonder if such would pass any legislation because it will clash with just about any Constitution. Doing this volutarily though is a wholly different point. I would hate to see that I would HAVE to furnish an official record that I stole apples from the neighbour with my 3-wheeler, or that I pilfered some Lego from my nursery-school. But on polite request, when things are getting serious, I would have the least of problems with owing this up, backed by some certified official register's print. I went to his place and rearranged his truck with a baseball bat. Seeing police coming up the road, my first instinct was to run. They couldn't catch me but "Voltar" the German Shepard could. After return trip from hospital, I was charged with resisting arrest. Everytime I get pulled over for a speeding ticket, They don't approach me till I'm surrounded by police cars due to the AWC (approach with caution) that pops up on their car computers. For a guy that's only 5'9' and 170lbs. Never been a violent person my whole life but I'm a marked man! What can I do if RA charge shows? I'm a good guy,Really! The lady I am to marry says the only thing that matters is forward from today, and I have to agree. Now it depends what your criminal record is for, but a marriage can only be built on trust. I agree with all above, and myself I am vehemently against the Patriot Act. I love how the government uses euphemisms Like patriotism as a means to invade a common citizens privacy. All 911 did was let loose the dogs of central government. As Benjamin Franklin said if you give up freedom for security you deserve neither. I don't think these darling ladies are so naive that they can't tell someone real, from a jerk. It happens sometimes an idiot will slip through the cracks, but should the few that do jeopardize the rights of the many??? I don't think so. These type of bills are intrusive in the lives of free people. Listen, this is part of the freedom for security trade off. I don't need big brother prying into my life, hell they get enough of my check each week, why do the need to know what I'm doing. Instead of prying into lives of free people why don't we just punish criminals harshly? If you think that bill is good just ask anyone who has lived in former communist and current communist countries what they think? I personally believe and I know others are going to disagree, but rape, murder(it is in some cases) and child molestation should be a Capital Offense. I don't believe tax payers should cater to perverts. People have their homes and personal posessions taken for tax evasion and drug dealing, why don't we take the lives of the people who commit these heinous crimes of rape,murder and child molestation. Which in all three of the previous cases you can never give back to the victim what was taken away. I will never support any legislation that promotes intrusion on honest hard working people. It's all about control of our lives. Why don't we support legislation that promotes accountability. I've always liked the Slogan of the John Birch Society, Less government, more personal responsibility and with Gods help a better world. Also Edumnd Burkes quote, Evil triumphs only when Good Men do nothing. I don't need the majority of morons in Washington dictating to me what right and wrong is. Any new law created takes away freedoms given to man by God. People who support this type of legislation are just to lazy and weak to support accountability in their lives. If I think I'm wrong, go to the FBI or any major crime reporting agency and see how many years a murderer,child molestor or rapist serves in prison.
