In 10 days I am going to Ukraine. I have been to Russia 3 times before and I made a lot of mistakes. Mistake after mistake but now I return again. I have meet a nice girl I think and she is very beautiful in my eyes. I thought I had it all planed out and I was going to be all cool about the who thing, treat it like a holiday but now the day is drawing nearer and she has become very serous all of a sudden which is O.K. but it is now scaring the hell out of me, the possable outcome. Iether way good or bad, I am still freaking a bit. Anyone else getting last minute jitters?
choosing the wrong girl mostly. From my experience if a man goes to FSU to find a wife, he will find one, no doubt. But the correct one is the trick. I meet one girl who was always asking question about how much money I had or earned so to speak. Also she could not understand about my lack of education compared to her. It all seemd a bit odd to me but every day she came she brought me food. She never asked me for money. She had a jod and one day she even went to the shop to bye me some cream for my lips because she seen that the cold wind had made them very dry. But still with the financial question and in the end I told her that I thought that she possable thought she was better than me perhaps. Now I understand a little more. I am an electrician and in Russaia it is a very rubbish jod so perhaps she was concerned about it. In Australia my work is good but she did not understand and misunderstanding = goodbye for us. I think I realy let a good one go but history is history. 2 big mistakes in 1 trip, rejecting a good one and hooking up with a bad one.
Electricians should be paid well especially since doing it yourself can lead to unwanted electrocution. I've tried it a few times and once, melted a pair of plier jaws together. Hey,I don't see anything wrong with her suddenly gettting serious. Sounds like she has the jitters too!
True dale, but up until now she has played it very cool. That is she likes me and all that, but is of coarse not saying anything to serious until we meet, which is how I am too. I think her mother is very excited and maybe they are talking a lot as they are making many preperations for my arrival. First it was O.K. lets met, now she wants to go to the forest and spend time alone together and, oh no mabe they are planing to murder me! no snap out of it ID
Electricians here don't get much money, and the majority of men here are able to fix simple things about electricity. My dad never in his life turned to the electrician, as he is able to do everything even better then local electricians do:))) And usually electricians here are the worst alcoholics and they never turn to work sober...ok maybe on some firms or enterprises the electricians are not that, but those who come to fix things in the flat are of that kind usually:)
I fix much more than simple things ptichka and I had to go to school for 3 years as well as work to be become qualified. I understand how it is there but before I did not. When I say I am an electrician girls deflate, but here it pays well. Not enougth for drive new BMW but not that many aussies can either.
Maybe they are drunk because one girl from moldova told me they made $25 a month. I think I would just shoot myself. Maybe it was per week. I would still shoot myself
:)) I don't know Nisse I never dated with an electrician:)
ID for electricians 25 $ it's per month, if a person knows his work and doesn't drink much he can earn some money money.
Again I need to add that the majority of men are involved in doing different things about the house even fixing some problems with electricity from their childhood, first with their fathers then by themselves...and it's a usual thing here:)
1) - room for numerous 'funny' remarks about 'sparks'...
2) Ptichka, in ID's country (as in most western countries): even if there are witnesses saying that somebody else started a fire, if the authorities and the insurance company discover that a 'home electrician' has done some work, they will blame the fire on the un-authorised wiring.
I am 72 days away from Kiev, have all the travel plans done and paid for, except how to get to JFK airport and the visa is approved and in-hand. I plan as far ahead as possible, so I have already started getting nervous. Don't pack until the night before...what an oddity!
This trip is long overdue. Work would not permit me to go any sooner, so we will have been corresponding for 8 months by that time. It will be another 3 months before I can go again. Those 3 will seem like the first 8. Need to start thinking of presents.
Will do toad. This is one of the things though where our cultures differ very much, work that is. Now I know this girl who worked in a chemist as a shop assistant and she got $50 a month. Teachers get about $100 a month I believe. My x told me that working in a bank was better pay than a doctor, I am not saying that is true as I do not know. The point is that so called scilled jobs in the western world do not give you the same life as over there. Something to remember when talking to ladies as they probably understand nothing about our work in relation to out life style. Everything is backwards compared to our thinking, well, not everything, but lots of things.
id. I am just back from italy, f***ing heatwave, 48 degrees, 6 showers a day, but if my ecperinece is anything to go by, no need for nerves, things could not be better, wish the same for you
Thanks trad, I am going with a good atitude I think. Mostly I realy need a holiday. Hopefully while I enjoy some time off something nice will happen. If not, still been to somewhere different in the world. To bad about the heat. I was in Russia during August 2002. Started out 25 celcius. By the time I went home 4 weeks later it was about 12 celcius. My pretty told me that 2 weeks ago she was holidaying with some friends and had to go home because it was to cold and they took no warm clothes. I am trying to choose some clothing but still do not know what to expect. By the way, congrads on a good trip. Good news is always good to hear
