Scams abound in this day and age of internet. There are literally thousands of scammers out there who prey on those who are either lonely, foolish, or both. I want those that have either been scammed, or those like me who have done research into this area, to chime in here so the newcomers can get a well rounded opinion of what exists in the way of scams. I suggest you buy the online book at elenasmodels.com about avoiding scams. I know I talk about this site alot. I love Fiance.com the best of course, for the quality of women and the price and the customer service you get, but Elena Petrova runs a 100% scam free site and her book is worth the 25 bucks. IT really opened my eyes and helped me to avoid a lot of what I am reading from some of you guys. Just remember, if it is too good to be true, it probably is! I do not want to sound like a cheerleader for any other site, like elenas models, etc. I am just suggesting to use ANY means of gathering information in your search for a foreign bride. Use any resources possible to help yourself. Fiance is by far the best site for the money. I have had so many interactions with the people who run this site over the past four or five months. People like Nadya, Slava, Oksana have helped me out more than any one reading this will ever know. THey are great people who will go the extra mile for you if you just ask. (january, 2004). I've got the same guide and it is in the computer for reference. Never send money is the best imformation you can get. If the house burns down, never send money. Call the red cross, never send money. When I get suspicious, I say do you know about the scams online and that I, never send money. It is sad when there are no more responses but I do not have to feel I have been robbed. The interenet is such a good way of business and pleasure, It is a shame people have to ruin it!!! Getting to the topic, I started here a year ago, the only one I know of that still posts here that was here before me was TD. My fiance found me and she is proud of that fact, don't ask me why. Whenever I tell her I'm so happy I found her she quickly corrects me. Ive been to Russia 2 times now and I proposed to her under the night sky of the "White Nights". I recently came back from a very romantic vacation on the island of Cypress, or called the island of Aphrodite. I am already planning another trip to Russia soon as we cannot stand being seperated... god I hope this visa goes as quickly as possible!! The most difficult heartbreaking thing we ever had to do in our lives is to leave eachother when we have to go home... So I can say Ive done it Buck, and Ive seen and experienced things others can only dream about.
