What is the deal with Moldova, easy to get a visa in and out. I mean in for me and out for the girl of my dreams, yeah plural, my dream keeps changing because the women can't stay focused here for more than two weeks it seems. They keep dematerializing on me. So I'm having multiple dreams.
So you have been there, I met a girl from Chisinau not in person a letter writing meeting,
she has a son ten is that going to be a problem getting him over here, what is it like over there Tradman
My girl has a daughter of 11, and I do not think it is going to be a problem for either of them to leave, I am marrying her in Italy in 2 weeks, then its just a matter of waiting for uk visa's.
I had a great time over there, felt totaly safe and the people were really friendly.
Great thing about Moldova is, you can just get your entry visa at the airport, if you visit, let me recommend interpreters and accomodation
Tell me please Tradman about the entry Visa at the airport. Have you seen the thread wraning not such goods things said about Moldonan woman from that guy WT, thank you for calming me down, tell me all you can. I would be happy!
I donīt want you to misunderstand me: I only told one story regarding scammers. This may happen everywhere. But you must understand, that ladies from poor regions of eastern europe seek not only for love, but also for a safe future in western countries. This is nothing bad because it is a normal habit of EE women to have a solid future for their kids. Especially if they have own kids, they have the most worse situation, letīs say, in MOldova: no support from government and the socalled fathers doing all, but not feeling responsible in all matters.
You can get your visum at Kishinew airport. Costs are $60,-.
Wess, in opposite to probably all gents here I am not looking for my soulmate in EE. During the last 13 years I was in most of the new countries of former ussr. And I got in contact with many local people. And I made my own decision, that my soulmate will for 99% NOT come from Eastern Europe. But it is my own opinion and decision. I understand the enthusiasm in the beginning, but I donīt share this on longer terms. The most marriages between russian women and western men, which I know, broke sooner or later. And the percentage is much higher than in marriages, where the two partners have the same nationality.
The percentage of women coming to America and still married five years later is very high.
Everyone's experience is different, so then the perception, the perspective and the feelings. People are people; some good, some bad ,and some just right. I do not believe the the heavenly bodies of the universe need to be in a special order or in perfect alingment for love to happen. I believe love is the coming together of two hearts and then considerable work. I am a worker!
I spent three weeks in Moldova at the end of April and beginning of May - with one of the most beautiful women I have ever known. The problems I had with the police - and her mother are detailed in other threads.
Would I be willing to go back to that country?
Certainly before going to Chechnia or Georgia (parts of Georgia anyway) - sure I would.
Hey Jet, How have you been? I havent heard from you in awhile. Did you have success in Moldova? I kinda dropped out of the forum about that time.. An update for me: I had success with my trip to russia. Now I wait for my fiance's visa. Take care
Hi Wessman, I had no problems, everyone I met was fair and honest, I have just spent two weeks in Italy with her and her brother and Moldovan wife, very honest and friendly, another Moldovan couple lived upstairs and I stayed with them(not enough room downstairs) refused to take any money for my stay. Now there are good and bad in each country. Everone I have met is incredibly hard working and moral.
My girl was an economist for the Moldovan government, now in Italy she works 12 hrs a day ironing in a hospital, with a smile on her face, then comes home and insists on cooking my dinner even though I am on vacation...That tells you what kind of girl she is.
I feel humbled
yeah man thanks for that, I haave noticed how everyone tries to lump people into categories, I need to remember as individuals it is different strokes for diffeent folks.
I am sure there are bad and dishonest people in Moldova, I just didn't meet any of them, but when you find a good one, it's like going back 50 years when men were men and women were women, and I think it is impossible to find a girl like that in the west
I hope I share your experience tradman. i can't get the women to write me more than a six or seven line paragraph and when I say write me in Russian i get the feeling that to write me in Russian they would be insulting me. very frustrating
Wessman, I had women who would write me everyday, my girl from Moldova would only write me maybe twice a week, but having spent time with her, I can see how busy she is, how difficult it is when you don't speak much English, I crave more contact from her when I am back in the Uk, but now I know she is mine and she loves me, I have flown to Moldova, Romania, Italy ewery two weeks to see her, we are getting married in early October, she has such amazing qualities, honesty, humour, intelligence and character...I can't believe how lucky I am, she gets up every morning to make me breakfast, when she irons my shirt and I say thank you, she says it is her pleasure, and she really means it. We go to a cafe for coffee, she puts my sugar in and stirs it for me, can't rememebr when a woman did such little things for me, and made me feel so good about myself...you will find yours too.......
I've been to Moldova twice in the last few months and twice the lady I was going to visit backed out, as Wessman said. Once before I even arrived, and once after only one meeting. I would put it in this context: Moldova is now the poorest country in Europe, with a terribly high unemployment rate, many spouses working abroad to support their families, and worst of all a serious problem with trafficking in women. Two sad billboards I saw on my latest visit: one for Western Union shows a construction worker in one frame, and a woman and child in another. Caption: He sends us money from Moscow. And a poster in the departures lounge of the Chisinau airport shows a woman with her back to the viewer, facing a border crossing, and the inscription: Stop! You are not a commodity. So maybe desperation makes some ladies confused about their motives? Wondering what you folks think.
point taken historian, I stayed in a nice area of chisinau, I did not see great poverty, I am not qualified to comment on rural Moldova, I did see a feature on bbc of many Moldovian girls going to Italy as prostitutes(not mine) I spent a day at work in the government office in Chisinau with my lady. One of the reason I ciorresponded withher was because she had no financial problems. She has been in Italy for 6 weeks now, visiting her brother, she has not asked me to support her, she works 12hrs a day at a menail job..my advice is, don't pick someone poor who is desperate to leave(although that doesn't make them a bad person) cuts down your risk of being taken for a fool
Me nail? Me Hammer I meant Me Mate. Tits oot for ze Lads!
So Toadie, your pond dried up, was it mating season or what? Make us all laugh and tell us your absence is connected to bail, or your return rather... ;-)
