Ranjit, Among my clients I have quite a few couples with a US man married to an asian woman for well over 30 years. Most of the husbands are retired military officers and well educated people. I know each and every one of these couples very well. Every cent they have earned or spend, most of their habits outside the bedroom, their goals and dreams and the things that make them tick. None of their asian wives are household ornaments. What you or other western feminazi garbage fed people call obedience is nothing more than complete devotion of each individual to reach the common goal of prosperity, happiness and overall well being for the family nucleus they created by performing their roles in a compatible manner. Its more of a matter of respect for traditional roles. Few of us (certainly not me) are looking for a woman to be our obedient companion. That is the false argument advanced by spoiled western women who wonder why so many men are looking elsewhere. There are traditional roles that may very slightly from culture to culture, but similarity is that men are men and women are women. Neither is better or worse but they are most certainly different. In the west a woman can play any role she wants. All things are available to women and they dictate the how and when and why a man might be useful in their lives. Women like to play male roles and it is up to the man to guess when (if ever) she expects a man to be a man. It IS social castration - and it is not politically or socially correct to question it. While women my welcome this confusing new position they have enjoyed in the last few decades it is quite frustrating for men. Eastern European women are NOT obedient. If you expect that you can give a command and they will follow with no questioning - you are in for a surprise. But if you expect them to link your arm as you walk down the street, to have you hold the door for them and for them to be pleased when you buy them flowers (even though like a western women they can always buy flowers for themselves) you might just be gratified. I write this to you from Latvia, where unfortunately, it seems that western contamination has begun to creep in. I am American, but I am aware that Western European women share some of the same problems of feminism. And it seems that as Latvia reaches to western Europe with its thriving economy and values, not surprisingly it has turned its back to every aspect of Eastern Europe (Western Europeans, Americans, even the Japanese don't need a visa to get into this place, but Russians and Ukrainians do) and the culture is shifting just as fast as the economy and landscape (which seems different practically from morning to night with all the new construction). This culture is country is changing already. If westerners really want to find the women that those of us on this forum seek - take fair warning - they may be best found in other FSU countries. I was there last year and I consider it to be even more impressive in Estonia, famous for the young successful business ladies and also for the cohorts of finish guys arriving each weekend there and drink all available alcoholic beverages. Anyway, Riga and Tallin are both nice cities, many old buildings.....and nearly western prizes. As far as I know Estonia has one of the highest internet rate of whole Europe. In my opinion the attitude of local girls are anywhere in the middle between, lets say, Ukraina and an average western country. But, hm, every woman is different :-) WT jetmba.
