I am in Ukraine. Well I am gonna give you all a mini update.. concise and accurate )) So far here it is pretty much like everyone has said, Lots of beautiful girls and everything is fairly cheap. Met my girl... She was not exactly what I expected but I drove on anyways. I am kind to her follow all the rules my brothers have set before me, well I guess here they dont wait for you to open the door because they run to the car and open it themselves )) Still I just outrun them so they get the point. My girl turned out to be the ice queen from hell... Now dont go getting judgemental and trying to dissect what I did wrong )) because I dont care. I met a few others and now I know that most might be timid at first but they open up rather rapidly. I am very happy about this back up plan I have ( THANKS ID ) because believe it or not breaking in off with " My girl " was a very positive step. Guys if you write a girl and she turns out to be a bitch, never fear.. dump her, there are many that want to take her place. This girl I wrote completely mis representited herself, She is not the person I wrote. day 2 bye bye baby, hello gorgeous: Well after I broke it off with my girl, I went to the agency ID provided for me before I left ( THANKS ID ). I am here writing this. Now I am going to give you guys some of my observations here. Believe it or not... it is hard to find girls over 24 HAHA. Poor me I am FORCED to date these beautiful 20-24 year old women.. it makes me so sad I may just shoot myself )) But seriously if you end up using a back up plan dont be suprised if you end up dating girls younger then normal... compared to what I have seen 20 years old and your way within the ethics here ( saw 50 year old men in many places (ukrianian men) groping there 15 or 16 year old girlfriends ) I am shooting for older but they are rarer then the younger ones. Allmost EVERY girl smokes.. guys dont believe half the crap on the profiles... if it bothers you that bad you may want to really check ( I smoke so I dont care, Once I start smoking they sigh and say "thank god a normal guy" then they light up ) yup so dont be suprised. Some drink and some dont. Havent seen any issues with that. They will allmost ALL try and get you to see them exclusively.... be carefull because with the younger ones that may not mean they want you for them only because they want to get married... They may want you to themselves while there but it doesnt mean for good so I would keep looking until you find something that fits. Plan A down but its going good just wanted to put out some info on my trip. To be honest, I was waiting for this moment. Not that it shoul happen to you, but to one of us in this Forum. We are talking so loudly about our love, and that we are going to meet... Everything shall be soooo great.. - Then... you meet.. and things was not like you expected.. - Or not like she expected... It can happen to us all, I have already been there. May be she don't like you, may be you don't like her? I doesn't mean to sound pesimistic guys, I have just been there, and things can very easily turn out different. The reason I am telling this, and probably get some of you all fired up is because I want you to be prepared for it - because I care! I really do care about you guys, I feel like I know some of you very well. Just be careful, take it easy and look how things work out. I agree with thunder and ID! Have a backup plan, don't be afraid to leave her. May be she also would feel relieved if she didn't have to entertain you while you are there (if things doesn't work out). It is like free says, there are so many girls out there, don't waste your precious time on something that is doomed. See others while you are in the hotspot. It is just a friendly tips to all of you. If everything goes as you hope, I am just happy for you, drop plan B and enjoy plan A!! I really hope (from my heart) that all of you will find love, me included -I am still not 100% confident in my Estonian princess, I am afraid she is a little too hot for money, unfortunately..! If she will turn her back or grow a bit cooler you just might get your answer. Sure, your savings will just be enough for some visits, but nothing extravagant when you're there, no mink coats as presents for instance. However, talking of which, your approach regarding these seems to be on the conservative side. Maybe Toad is the opposite dragging laptops, generators, electric blankets & socks and self-inflating thermal underwear along as presents, but you just might be a bit stingy? No offense, but I can see nothing wrong with bringing some nice (read: a bit dear) presents along, however I'd wait with handing them out instead of overloading her the first day. If plan A turns sour I'd take them to B if not Z, but the mere fact that I'd have them with me is better than wishing for them whilst there. The generator stays on the truck for camping purposes. No, I did not buy the electric blanket or the battery operated socks (Lena laughed for two long and expensive minutes on the phone when I told her about the socks) It was hard to convince her to tell me what she wants or needs, but finally she asked me to bring her some hard to find Channel cosmetic base spf something or other. Until then she only wanted to see photos of everything that is important in my life, a book that shows the places I go camping in Calif. and something that can show current events in California or my area, so I'm bringing tomorrow's (sunday) paper for her to read at length, including the comic page and the shitload of advertising, coupons and classified ads. She's also getting a bikini, a bottle of her favorite perfume (bought long ago but never sent), the Ruccini 'toad' box with something in it, the Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner, the talking alarm clock with my photo in it from Sharper Image, four books, a box of chocolates and flowers at the airport and at the table where we have reservations for dinner Woman's Day. Her mother is getting Louis Vuitton scarfs and chocolates, maybe some flowers 8 March. Her brother is getting 3 DVD movies or a CD portable player if the movies format is fubar to play there. But let's play Devil's Advocate for a minute. What if my adorable siberian princess catches Freebird's girl's virus from Ukraine and becomes the siberian tundra ice queen from hell? What would this toad do? My plan B backup is weak, but I'll make no qualms whatsoever about enforcing it. Inconvenient as it may be. All these gifts will be dished one by one, day after day providing our interaction justifies it. If it doesn't, I'll have plenty of western gifts left over for other women. But I much rather see it happen with the woman I've spend a year to know and grow fond of. I think some elements of what Lena is doing let me rest assured that I will not need plan B. (Still, with no guarantees) Our activity schedule calls for full on dinner visits to her Mother (twice), her first cousin & husband, friends and if that is not enough, she is buying ALL the train tickets needed for our commute between E-burg / Tyumen (6 total) with her own money until I get there. Again, I'm not letting my hopes, emotions or goals blind my pragmatic way of thinking, but I think I'm going to Siberia with a more solid foundation than what Freebird probably build with his girl in Ukraine. On the other hand, if it all turns out to shit, I will have wasted much more time, energy and effort than he did in the first place. Give him the DVDs the odds are that it will work. It is very common to have a hacked player outside of the USA. If not take the mode and serial number and do a search for that brand on the net. It is easy to convert. It is usually keypressses with the remote. Don't forget to go into the menu afterwards and change the settings to convert from NTSC to SECAM automatically. That is it. A warm and beautiful woman to be sure, we spent the evening together at dinner and had a very nice time. She requested to see me again but I told her that I must find out about T my girl from town B. That it would not be fair until I went and saw myself if we matched, so I departed and left for Town B. T... I met T at the airport... She was cute but not as cute as her photo but that did not matter to me because the girl I wrote was warm and kind. So we went to her town and set up in my apartment. We made plans and hung out with an interpreter, T seemed distant and cold... I was beginning to wonder if she was the girl I wrote. Well we went out that night and I was warm to her and got nothing but cold in return..... So I asked her if it was ok... she didnt say anything so I was beginning to believe I was correct that she was not the same girl or pretended to be different. I quickly made alternate plans and in so many words dumped T.. who was relieved it seemed... My interpreter was baffled as to why she was acting like such a bitch, They were friends. Her actions even pissed her off enough to not be friends with her. I went to the local dating agency.. I met with the owner and set up some dates. Pretty much every girl that came in asked if they could date me. I selected some and there was a girl...V very very very very pretty, so pretty and young I said no to meeting her, the owners son spoke up and said that she was a very nice girl looking for something serious... So I said why the hell not. Dating day 1: A cute girl came in the office R... she asked the owner to ask me if I would date her, I said sure.. we went to A cafe ( she spoke english )and I basically started interviewing her.. She was in love with america and wanted to go there... Red flag, nice girl but no, I dont want someone that loves america, they have to love the man they are with. Day 1: part 2.. I met Y, Another young girl ( 20 yo )sweet and cute with a nice attitude, things went very well, ( FLashback: While in the office the girl I mentioned earlier ,V, the very pretty one dropped by to see what I looked like, So I had met her breifly) While we were out to dinner I saw the girl I was meeting next... she was with some guys and I thought one was boyfriend.. So I told Y and Y said she thought it was. So I prepared to scratch V off my list. Well we go back and the date is over.. it was fun and she was sexy but no real chemistry. I am also not sure where she is coming from. So I ask the owners son if V had a boyfriend and his mom got angry and said that no Y was just trying to be clever. So I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. Day 2: V... Well instantly there was chemistry. Like with my ex... I could not believe it, My alarms were going off full bore so I started to interview her... OMG! this girl said all the right things.. I could not believe this so I put myself on hold and try to be objective looking for deciet or flaws or anything so I can run. We go out and every single thing she tells me makes me more interested... She is just like me! She ask me many questions too and we keep getting to know eachother and basically the date turns into an all day and night thing. She walks me down to where her mother works and I meet her and her mom is shocked.. I thought "oh shit she is pissed because I am 37...." But no, This older but beautiful woman was shocked at how I looked. She made A joke about wanting to steal me from her daughter. V is 20 years old. This girl did everything to let me see her including see her mother so I would see how she would age.. She means buisiness. We go out with friends that night ( Owners son and a couple of other girls ) and they can see the chemistry between me and V... im thinking this is crazy, What the hell is going on.. RUN FREE RUN! We had a nice time and we go back to my apartment to drop me off, We kiss on the cheek and try and say goodnight... we kept clinging to eachother and finally she left. My head is spinning. She did everything right, She had class, she knew how to invite flirting but in a classy way. She was so warm I could see she was feeling the same thing. OMG... what the hell! I call her this morning and we set up our next date, I am so nervous I am frigging 16 again, but She is too. I know I said I would never date a younger girl.. but things are different here, These girls want older men. I mean the whole deal here is different. There is no drinking age so most these girls get to party and do things at 16 years old... so by the time they are 20-24 they have had theyre wild times. In fact most of them dont take the young guys serious.... they wont date them seriously. Its crazy here.. I cant get a date with a girl my age. they all want older guys. So I guess I will have to change my thinking. I mean it, photos of this girl they dont do her justice.. but screw her looks... I could not have written and better script on how to get me truly interested..... Im nervous. I am not the best looking guy in the world.. but not being arrogant I am pretty decent looking and very in shape. Here it is insane.... I mean it is a mans heaven. Let me give you an example. I go to a store, There is a girl working the counter and she is very rude to everyone, A pretty girl but unhappy. I walk up and smile... she tries to be serious but ends up smiling back and trying to look stern again, it is a losing battle and she keeps giggling! This is before she knows I am american, She finds out I am American and basically melts on the spot. Everywhere I go its like that.... Smiling first then they smile... then if I mess up my russian they know I am American and they go nuts, It is like jesus is speaking when I talk.. its nuts! They cling to my every word! I dont know how to handle this so mostly I am just polite and believe it or not reserved. You were right I was wrong, You allmost have to date younger girls here. Lessons learned: Writing one is cool, but dont count on them being who they present themselves to be and if it goes to hell there are OTHER options ))) I am now happy it did not workout with the icequeen.
