Ive been browsing on and off russian woman sites for about 8 years. Seems to me there is an increase in divorced woman on databases and the girls arent as sexy as they where. maybe because of the inevitable fact that countries like latvia (already in ) and in near future Ukraine etc will join the United Europe. A friend of mine came back last year from Kiev and said he has never seen so many BMW cars on the road. So I have these 2 theories now 1/Less FSU woman want to leave...the quality ones.. Lets be honest whatever they say to you they are looking for better economic conditions (men in drink in russia excuse always amused me) 2/All these dating sites now have resorted to I believe devious and corrupt ways of getting men to pay for addresses. in other words you are forced to join them so they can send you emails from woman whom you think are actually writing to you but arent... Only way you can tell is by paying credits and reading the emails to find out that the email is just the girls bio... Maybe Russian agencies are doing this because western men have eased off a bit on buying addresses. i also notice a lot of dating sites are going broke.. Of course some guys here will slag my email and want to believe anything. Im just a realist.. That's the plight of many of the former Soviet Union countrys, the lack of a middle class. I noticed many BMW's SUV's then it went to the junk Lada's and various other Cars. Also Mitsubishi was very popular in Ukraine. They are in an economic stage of the haves and have nots. Still a long way to go. My fiance and I have had many discussions on this topic. What interests her about the United States is opportunity, which she lacks in Ukraine. She is very educated but that doesn't open many doors there. I don't think Ukraine joining the EU is going to propose much to offer for at least another 20 years. They have a horrible industrial infrastrucure that is in need of dire repair. I don't see the EU throwing trillions of dollars Ukraines way. Though maybe settling on the Euro dollar may help, but that also will require time. Economies don't stabilize that quickly especially impoverished ones. Also Ukraine has to deal with their Ponzi Scheme of pension plans, that the younger generation is going to inherit. A United Europe isn't going to help a country that does not understand capitalism yet. Their banking system is far from being unbalanced and lack of trust among the people is the biggest problem. As far as the dating sites go, I would never pay a per letter charge to write a lady. No way no how. That was the big problem for many American men. They have a recourse if they get defrauded here in America. The international dating arena did not provide many of the idiots that sent thousands of dollars to women that safety net in the FSU. As corruption ran rampant after the fall of communism, was anyone going to prosecute these girls from bringing an economic windfall to their countries? So now men in the west are getting smarter, which is providing some difficulty to the agencies and also the sheer number of agencies will cause an increase in failures. The agencies that have survived have had to become somewhat legit and be more focused on a marketing strategy and approach to derive a better "package" to bring men and their dollars to their countries. That is why Fiance.com survives, it acts as a wholesaler for the agencies. It solicits men to their site for the purpose of directing men to agencies. That's why I laugh when people write here is this site legit? It is if you understand the purpose of this site. It all ends up dealing with an agency in one capacity or another. Or you convince your girl to circumvent the agency as Larissa and I did. It's a brutal business and very much dog eat dog. After Larissa and I became engaged the agency had very little to do with her. In her early quest for knowledge on acquisition of documents, they pretty much told her to go to hell, you're not bringing us in dollars anymore so you're pretty much a useless entity to us. It's a sad but true statement. The quality of the girls are still there, it's just a little tougher to find. Most girls, mine included if they had the opportunity to stay in their home countries they would. The smart ones understand if they find a true love they will move, because they understand that the turmoil their countries are in at the present moment isn't going to change overnight. Also we can not be naive, yes they want love and a man they can depend on, but they also want opportunity for financial and spiritual growth. They want to become what they want, but that isn't going to happen in the stagnant caste system they currently live in. I can tell you two things about Subic Bay(Olongapo City)When you step off the boat, Plane in my case, you are endured to a sexual Disneyland.At 18 years old, wow, Party your ass off and get laid for about 80 peso's. Then he told how I would learn to hate this place. He said he would rather spend 6 weeks in a rice patty in Viet Nam than spend it here. I had seen servicemen beaten, stabbed, one shot and one dead from that place. All set up by women and some bar owners and other scum that lived there. Six weeks seemed like six years and I couldn't wait to get the hell out of there. Corruption was rampant and servicemen were targets. They had the art of ambush down to a science and our main missione each night was to bring guys back to the base safely and with as little hassle with the local authorities as possible. Which by the way also had corruption down to a science. Hell hole of the worst degree! JMO the only thing I would employ there would be a tactical nuclear strike. Now I would like to see what is like now the base has moved, I bet it's nothing like it was in the 70's. I had friends that lived in Olongapo instead of the barracks at Subic. Forget that for me. It was cheap alright and life was cheap also. I was lucky in the VD department, never got it but saw guys standing in the head with their wallets in their mouths with tears rolling down their cheeks from the pain of pissing. The two biggest lines in Subic were going into Jolo's a club there and Sick bay each morning on the base. If you are talking the superficial which you must be since you don't have much elese to judge from, then I suspect you are fooling yourself and aiming a bit high for your own character flaws. Eight years of searching and still empty handed? Like someone else on here already speculated, it sounds like the problem may not be the "lower quality" women but you yourself. I found a qulaity woman here after only 3 months. I passed her up for a local Russian girl I met but there are "quality" women here on Fiance.com. But they are only for "quality" men. If you are a shallow man who refuses to take full stock of himself and admit his own problems then you get what you deserve. Honestly I don't buy the "american/local woman are horrid beasts" mantra I see spouted here often. If the local female population finds you substandard they they are send you a very clear message you are refusing to hear. If you are looking for a domestic then hire a maid.
