I ask them if they have really noticed my age, and they say they have and that it is not a problem. However, it scares me that a 20 year old attractice lady would be interested in me. She could be my daugtherīs best friend maybe, and it would be like having 2 daugthers instead of one wife and one daugther. And when I retire, she would still have to work another 30 years before we could retire together and move to my summer house. You probably have a lot of things in common with a woman closer to your age. also it's hard to know if they are interested in older men because they may be after money. True, if generalizing the difference in age should be closer, but I don't look at age, I look for common interests, similar values and CHEMISTRY. Those things do not deal necessarily with age. Also, having kids already could be an issue if dealing with FSU girls. In past 7 years, I have yet to find someone within 10 years of my age to be compatible. Maybe in FSU countries with girls in their 20's it could happen, probably not but please....let me have my beautiful young girls spice up my life. I have found many girls,that I correspond with that enjoy our letter writing. The true test is meeting in person...is there chemistry or not. If you happen to look like Richard Gere, Roger Moore or Pierce Brosnan - you could certainly attract a woman 30 years younger than you are, in the FSU OR right here at home! But those cases are extreme. If you are in excellent shape and you have a pleasing personality - 25 years difference wouldn't be a problem. But sadly, most of us aren't here because we are studs - with women of all ages falling all over us. So if you are even approaching average looking for your age - then consider a direct linear corelation between how much of age age difference there is and how likely it is that you are approaching the possibility of being scammed. There are still plenty of opportunites for an older man to find a younger woman in the FSU - they do seem more open to the possibility than western women are. I want to know what they wrote about themselves and what their preferred age range is and since I am a guy, an attractive picture. Based on that it will determine whether I send letter. While getting letters, their content will determine whether it goes past first month. I won't continue letter writing just because the girl is beautiful and overly friendly. Last thing I want is to have the air let out of bag in my face. I have at least 10 girls I have been corresponding for 8 months and seem to be genuine. The hardest thing in the world to do is develop a relationship and have it work out, whether in your own country or another country. We have been dating for 2 years. Im well past my prime in the looks stake and she is very attractive. Of course I am a stud. She has never asked me for money or gifts. Will the relationship last, who knows my first marriage lasted 14 years so I suppose anything close would be classed as reasonably successful! I think it makes sence what someone here said that they like to feel secure and have a husband who knows what he is doing. BUT.. one has to think about the future. Language IS important. It is communication, not looks, that make couples happy. They can share ideas and thougts, and talk about their deepest secrets. I wouldnīt be happy with a girl who is a photo model if I cannot communicate properly. ..and culture is different. Sweden is not far away from "Russia" but in letters I notice that the women have very different ideas from what Swedish men have. I get a bit scared when they talk about meeting after just 2-3 letters when I have seen perhaps 2-3 photos of her, and knows very little about her, and have not eevn talked on the phone... If you can't call a girl, stop right there no matter what excuse they present. Girls don't care if you end up taking the trouble to travel. So, if you are wealthy and have a vacation coming, why not? Sometimes, just taking these girls out to dates can be fun. However, if travel may be a hardship, try writing to girls on dating sites where there aren't marriage agencies involved. Natural progression should go from writing to calling to visiting to sex, and if it does not follow this order, there's something wrong. Maybe you can consider looking in Baltics, no visas and more down to earth attitude of women. I am not sure about 20 years old ones, but normal person close to your age you can find! People in Baltics are used to study languages, are less temperamental and have bought up in lutheran culture room even if they are russians. Maybe jealous Annika or still pissed that your country was occupied by communists for so long. You don't know didly squat about Ukrainian women, zip, zero, nothing and to broadbrush a whole gender from Ukraine or where ever shows how absolutely simple minded you are. My wife speaks 3 languages, 4 really but since Ukrainian and Russian are somewhat similar I only say three. So you aren't the only women who study languages.
