I go visit her 17Aug. Because the first time i see her she almost not kiss or take me,and after how long the think about sex? Because i am from belgium and when we like someone whe take each other and kiss! so its strange ! He is one of 3 brothers who run a prosperous chicken breeding farm with his father and they are not short of money. To cut a long story short, he went to Lithuania to meet a Russian girl ( whom he found of the internet ) and spent 1 month over there and she was not romantic and quite cold when it came to kissing and cuddling but he organised a fiance visa to Australia which was very costly and time consuming. She came and when he picked her up from the airport upon arrival here, he tried to kiss her and she turned her head and face right away from him and he knew something was up. About 3 weeks latter, she told him she did not like it here and had never come here for the love of him and never loved him and just wanted a new life in another country but she did not like it and subsequently she went back to Lithuania, packed off home and he told me the whole exercise cost $20,000 and was a huge waste and disappointment. He has since married a good woman from the Phillipines. Russians, Ukrainians similar cultural behaviours as with most of the FSU countries as they were all once under the Soviet umbrella..the women can be quite cold..they run hot and cold, very moody and bitchy and unpredictable with memories like an elephant and will hold a grudge a long time if they feel you done something wrong to them, even trivial things. Some are very patient when it comes to scamming and will scam on the personal visit when you meet them and then you are taken on a shopping spree and asked to buy expensive items they can not afford like fashion clothes, fur coats, designer hand bags, jewellery, lap top computers etc...you are tricked and forced and manipulated into buying these things and then in the end, they tell you, I am sorry, you are not the right man for me. The internet forums are littered with numerous stories of this type of scam happening to men and Ukraine sticks out like a sore thumb for this with girls that have mentality of a cash register! This kind of scam is getting more popular in Ukraine as the gold diggers and scammers now, asking for money over the internet does not really work any more so lets do the personal touch, get the man to come over and then we will empty his wallet. Be very careful, go and check her out but don't be fooled into paying for a shopping spree. Its like someone saying what are girls in bars like? And someone saying don't go to bars because a guy I know meet a girl who pretended to like him and he spent lots of money buying her drinks. And that there are lots of internet forums that say meeting girls in bars doesn't work so all girls who go to bars are bad. I met a Ukrainian lady a long time ago who was like this. We talked for nearly 5 months before meeting. We spent a week together in her city, had a nice time with each other, went walking together and out on dates to resteraunts but she would not even let me give her a simple kiss goodnight. She told me she did not like men "touching" her and wanted to be with a man who would keep his hands off of her. Wow! sign me up to get married to her!!! She's a keeper! :-) Needless to say I didn't have much desire to see her again after this trip.... I spent several evenings with a girl like that, I thought either she was just a dater or wanted to take it slow, real slow.I was brought up to kiss on cheek and some Ukrainian girls felt uncomfortable at first before they knew it was customery greeting for me. Of course any kisses for 'mini me' were all welcomed :)) Glad, I agree with you, Aussie has been giving advice( or his 2 cents) on dating in FSU, yet has never been there. I have brought this up to him, yet he has never responded. It all comes down to the idiot men which think with the wrong head and gleefully throw money around to get girls attention and then when they don't get the girl complain about getting scammed. True, there are some girls which do scam men but who has the decision whether to send money or not. I guarantee the girl will not beat you up to get money. She will just work on your weakest link...sex. You will never get scammed if you don't allow it. It is funny, back at home if I dated a local, we went to dinner, a show, nightclub, drinks and at end of night she told me she was not interested romantically, you just move on and find another girl. If this happens in FSU, she is a scammer....what gives?????? I tend to treat them the same way as well. If a woman is cold on the first date there would be slim chance I would ask her for a second. There just seems to be this perception that Russian women are somehow unromantic, when that couldnt be further from the truth. In Ukraine it is just like anywhere else in the world. My first meeting went just like yours and I dropped the girl. Second meeting with different girl -- warm, friendly and very affectionate. It is the girl -- not the culture. Adman is spot on -- cold is not a good sign, especially if you were hoping for very affectionate. But who knows, some women who were married, told me they took things very slow. So there is no real answer. How old is the girl? Aussieman you are so full of crap. My customer, my friend this, women are like that. You don't know anything about it at all. Women from Ukraine are cold, you've spent too much time watching movies from the 1950's. Come back with some expert advice when you've actually been there and experienced the affection of a real woman from Ukraine. All you know about the FSU is what you've read or heard which in my life I've learned to only believe about 5% of both. Your life must be rather boring just to sit and post a bunch of rabble about nothing. A good Filipino woman? I've been there too many times, they are more greedy about the buck and wanting to leave for a better life than any Ukrainian I've ever met. Sounds to me like you're one of the idiots that got scammed for a couple of thousand via the internet and now you want to blame the women for your stupidity. I thought in hind sight he was blinded by her beauty ( she was very attractive and young ) and he basically could not see the forest for the trees here. I think he made the equal mistake in getting a visa for her..I think he was just lonely and desperate and refused to see the writing on the wall here, I think most men would not go ahead with a fiance visa if the women they meet showed really no or little affection to them. The girl played him for his money and blindness here, I think and then he whine he was scammed..yes he was kind of scammed but he could have stopped it well before the fiance visa stage..loneliness and the attraction for beauty can blind a lot of men to the realities and the women take advantage of that. So my chuck farmer could be said equally the blame to being allowed to taken advantage off but all women, no matter where there from can scam and fool a man and you can never see in any womans mind, if theres a hidden agenda until its too late. Some men find happiness with Russian and Ukrainian girls..that is true but the scammers and gold diggers are really ruining it for everybody..making it really hard! Some of my posts, are taken by others here out of context.Some it is debatable, some things are spot on, remember a forum is a place where people express a certian point of view and all people have different and varied points of view and some stories of scams are very one sided and not complete..theres 2 sides to the coin here. Lets run a sensible open and honest forum with many points of view balanced. Also I think there is the male asshole factor here when men have gone on personal visits to the FSU countries..some men have gone there and behaved like assholes but will never admit it but will whinge and whine they were scammed when it reality they got what was coming to them because of there behaviour over there..revenge can be a bitch! There is a possibilty one day I will go to the Ukraine, I am fascinated by the culture as I am part European as well ( Hungarian father ) so it would be on my list to travel as with other parts of Eastern Europe as its my ancestry, mums from Slovenia. And really if it bleeds, they can all be bitchy and suffer PMT, all women..no such thing as the perfect woman or no such thing as perfect men either..thats why its so hard to find the love with the compatable match in personality and its important to fall in love with the womens mind and not her body..sex and lust hs never been a basis for a god, long lasting, solid relationship. You cannot predudge or pre-estimate how a lady might be with you, how she is in herself, just by her nationality. You just have to go with the flow, when you first meet see if she is moving towards you as if a kiss on the cheek is in order, if she stays back then offer to shake her hand and once you have started occupying time together, meals etc, then by experience you should be able to establish if there is anything on the menu after the meal. I met her through a Russian dating site and after correspondence one year I met her together with an interprator. 8 Months later she came to Holland and she was a complete different person, she could only talk about expensive cars etc. etc. etc. She also behaved cold as ice, I decided it was a mistake and considered I just had a guest in house, waited till she went back to Kiev and that,s it. This was the first time I met somneone from Ukrain but I try to go another time. I will be more attentive to her bahaviour. I go to Lugansk with not much expectations but I keep in mind that it can be possible. I will find out very soon what she realy wants and if she behaves cold as ice or is only interested in expensive fashion or whatever I go sight seeing in Lugansk, I think they also have night clubs in Lugansk. Thinking about starting a forum like that - so guys everywhere going to FSU can report on each girl they saw. You know - I cant think of one other way to stop this new Professional Online Dater Girl / Gold-Digger / Borderline scammer shopping girl infestation that seems to keep growing every month. Post Pic and ID # of girl (+ website she is at) with proof of travel. Then describe what happened with her. Can you imagine the valuable info on a site like that? Picture girl your writing to for 6 months exclusively and three other guys just flew to meet her while she is writing your the only guy she is writing.. Hoo boy!
