Hey, I found this to be sooooo funny, perhaps you folks will too. For the fun of it, I looked at the "Miss Wow" search button ( I prefer average looking women). 6 of the women listed are women I previously corresponded with, but stopped because I got the feeling after 3 letters (when they hinted at money) that they were not serious. I see them now one with over 200 letters written to her! In case anyone is interested, the ladies I am referring to are:
# 17013
# 17569
# 18959
# 18801
# 19621
If any of you are corresponding with these ladies, be careful!
P.S. I am not saying these ladies are for sure scammers, but they all asked for internet access money, and when I polietly declined, they all wrote back they did not want to have correspondence with me at all. you be the judge.
Asking after 3 letters would raise the red flag for me too Chip, the usual morals of most decent ladies would never allow them to ask for money.
That is not to say those ladies are scammers either........but as the saying goes "Buyer Beware"
It seems the only real protection we have is communication, we should start a thread with the numbers of all the profiles which ask for money (and how they ask).
chipscher. what do you mean by "are getting PAID"???
Right now the women in Miss wow section are choosen according to the number of letters received by them. Ten ladies that got the biggest number of messages get to Miss wow section. Whats wrong with that? If somebody hinted at money please report to site administrator about it.If you had a feeling that some of them were not serious...well this is your feeling and I am sure you were not serious with each and every girl you wrote to. There is a certain point where one is getting serious about an other, and women that get that much messages cant be serious about each man they get a letter from...They are still on the site means they are still in a process of their search. For some of them hinting at money can be the only thing to check if man is serious enough about her. If it was really asking for money we would have already been informed about it and her profile was removed already.
I've been corresponding with one of those eledged scammers for over two months now, and she has never asked me for any money, "one has received over 200 letters", so?
Thats exactly what Im talking about.chipscher, postings like that can really scare somebody away from girls that have nothing to do with being scammers. Even if you didnt mean to say they are, it sounded like that. So please, men:if you are getting suspicious about somebody-inform site administrator and let us check this.Don't announce girls ID's on the forum just because you just got a feeling that something is wrong...you know how much everybody on the forum is afraid of being scammed-you can simply ruin somebody's relationship!
True Olga, but on the flip side, do the girls who register understand the level of caution most of the guys have regarding being scammed? So if the question even comes up, they begin to understand our perspective?
I have been speaking with a few of these ladies, one that I am becoming very close with. I have never been asked to send any money. That topic has never come up in conversation through our letters or our phone conversations.
I dont think girls understand that.Of couse some know about it...but I think just some. And thats to the better-I think the more girls here will know how scam schemes work, the more will try to use it ;-)
I'm still speaking to a few of those woman, and can vouch for their honesty and intentions. None have ever come close to asking me for money, and all in all some of those woman have been the most honest ones on this site. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I've come across more scammers on this forum than on the ladies section. Please be more careful when accusing or warning people.
It is an awful thing, maybe, but we all have to go off our gut instincts. I have seen and agree with comments made in other sections, that it is not a crime that people do not have an abundance of money. When these girls 'hint' at getting money, they could be hinting the reasons why they don't contact us as often as we might like. Of course, on the other hand we do have to be very wary, but like i said in an earlier comment, i think many of us get paranoid, maybe with good cause, but sometimes without true reason.
The other point i would like to make, is that they have a different culture to us, i think we should allow for that a little more, as they almost certainly have different values, leading to alternative emphasis on different morals. Thjat to me doesn't make them bad, just different. You can't have your cake and eat it.
I am writing here to ask just one thing why would you not be willing to help the woman you are writing to with the cost of her corresponding with you here? I feel that if you are serious in your intentions you will offer and she will not need to ask. Think they do not have the extra money to spend on writing letters the men here do. Some are spending there "Lunch" money to correspond with you. Give them a break and if "YOU" are serious offer to help her pay for the correspondence. I do not meen to send her a blank check but I know the agency will help you arrange to pay for her costs so stop winning and step up, be a man and help her. Oh and about scammers I wonder how many men write letters to a woman here get all her hopes for a better life up and then just never show up or worse show up have a quick romantic vacation and then to be never heard from again? This agency has always delt very fair with me here and the lady I correspond with will not let me help her with the cost but I have offerd on many occasions. We are to meet in February and maybe then I can talk her into letting me help.
people, I added the second post just after muy initial thread to do such a thing, I am not saying they are scammers, I was just relaying a common thing amogst 6 out of 10 Miss Wow's. Oh yes, I noticed that 1 of them's profiles has been deleted. I am not trying to say that they are scammers, but they have all asked for money. Maybe legit, maybe not, I do not know, but my personal feeling is that I do no tlike to correspond with people who ask for money so quick. When they do, I politely inform them that I have been warned against talking to people who ask for money so quickly, and I would be more than happy to send it if I knew that we were serious, but I did not know that yet. Then the reply is usually "well then I cannot talk to you anymore". I do not want to discourage anyone from writing to any of these girls, if you are writing to them, and it is going well, then bless you! I wish you well! I just thought it as an extreme coincedence, and wanted to share my view with the community here.
I noticed pretty quickly that I got mail from every one of the girls on the 'Wow' list, so I assume they're doing their part to generate mail to themselves, by mailing EVERYONE that signs up.
I mean I've been a member for a couple of weeks, and of the 17 emails I got, most were the 'wow' girls.
I don't pass judgement on their motivation, just pointing out a fact.
Join the club, Ive been a member for six months and I still get crazy amounts of letters from those girls. Azov and Dzerjinsk are mass mailing everyone I think.
So you don't get a personalized letter at least, or a real personal one?
Then I wonder what & how you write. If you cannot make yourself stand out then settle for anything guys, no hope left.
In fact you should write (if you like her I mean, don't bother otherwise) in such a way that she will start neglecting others, at best ignore them fully eventually. And that basically goes for everybody - never settle for being a number but for one.
And personally I hate queueing ;-)
