I build, market, and sell hunting & fishing web sites. Anyway, I have learned a lot from you all on the travel/custom techniques of your journeys and I thank you for that. I have been pitched many times from travel agencies, but it’s nice to read about people who have done it and some, more then a few times. As mentioned before my main focus for my travel is for business. I just could not leave here without asking a few questions. First, I am not trying to degrade any reasons on why you are looking for an EU type of women. I am from Portland and we have one of the largest populations of Russian, Ukrainian, and Romanian population in the US. Mater of fact, I live right in the middle of their community and across the street is one of the largest Ukrainian churches. I see beautiful women just about everyday. I’ve noticed they are a very private people that lean towards family bond very heavily, but let me get back to my point. Why would you travel so far to find a special woman? I could understand if you were Russian living abroad and wanted to marry in to your culture or even if traveled there and met someone. I see many of you have spent thousands on hopes of meeting a woman. I am sorry to sound brash, but I have been to southern US Arkansas, Mississippi, and Louisiana many times. There is an ocean of good-looking women looking for a better life. Please I am not trying to stir things up, but just get a better understanding. That moment when you say that you would travel to the other side of the world or to the moon and back to be with them? It's easily said when you already have them but in reality - would you do it? For that person, if you're fortunate enough to find them or have the chance to make that real connection - you would do all that and more forsaken everything else if you meant the words that we've all probably thought and said. The issue seems to be one of "distance" and why should any of us be restricted to only our local options where those options have likely been tried, exhausted and abused many times over? You talk about choices being available in other states, the UK is approx. the size of a US State, so if we want the "same" choice of going to the next state, the next state...is the a different country, a different attitude. Yes there are the exeptions, but you know what, there not single and I'm sick and tired of trying to find one. I'm giving this a try. And whats a few grand to go travel the world? Dont you like adventure in your life? I do. Im not one of these pansy assed Americans that are too scared to leave our borders. I do see what youre saying and I have already thought of looking for a Russian immigrant locally, But. I live in Portland also, and I ve been to the Russian church down the street. And to the markets. It's a good place to brush up on your Russian but thats about it. Next time youre out and about, take notice of the Ruussian girls you see here. They are only 14 years old. Ive only talked to one that was older a checkout girl at KMart. She was about 20 still too young. The rest that ive seen were married. The ones Ive met in their mid 20's like those in the Russian stores around here , I suspect they came here at an early age and may be already westernized. So if you know where these Eastern girls are, who still arnt Americanized tell me coz Id like to meet em. ......................... By the way the "ocean of good looking women" who are available,....in Portland, are also very young,.... the rest look and act like Miss Piggy having a bad hair day at McDonalds. I assume this because Ive met a few 30s ish married women who still didnt speak much English even though they'd been here 10 or 12 years. And I figure that if they dont speak very good English then they havent been hanging around the average man hating trollops I mostly see around here...........as a matter of fact tomorrow I have business in the heart of the Russian settlement.....so I will scope it out some more.
