Can anyone please advise me as I am new to all of this, I have been communicating with a lady from Kiev for the past 3 months and I am arranging to visit her at the end of june, I met her through an internet dating site and have spoken to her over the telephone and via the internet not only by email but also through a instant messaging service and also on a daily basis via mobile phone text, after reading some of the posts I feel a little concered that a lot of women in the Ukraine are out to scam.
This lady has passed on her home address which makes me feel she is genuine, but as I have said after reading some of the posting I am wondering is there good and bad out there, at no time has she asked for any money.
Can anyone please advise or suggest anything I can ask of her to prove she's genuine without me offending her.
AYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY.....This is starting to feel like babysitting, lol....:))
Nothing personal, sufbob....Welcome to the site.
The best thing you can do is follow the 'how-to' list to protect yourself against scam artists
Read through the many many many threads in this forum.
(Specially MY favorites regarding prenups, lol)
Tedious work, but will save you much time energy and moola
Yeah! ...I saw this one earlier..and I didnt want to touch it. I thought one of you old timers would do a better job... Hi sufbob!....maybe when the English wake up you'll hear more.................prenups anyone?
Actually, I prefer post-nups. Like a will...
Honey, I died. You pissed me off, and you get less than you wanted. Everybody else gets more. Live without it.
P.S. Piss on the grave, it helps the flowers grow.
Bob- I'm in total agreement with Nisse. On the homepage of Fiance.com you will find they have a company that will provide you the flower and picture taking service.
sufbob not all Ukrainian women are into scam, there are lots of girls who are serious in their search. OK OK I'm from Ukraine, but as everybody here knows I'm not looking for a foreign husband, but I like to share my opinions:) So don't think that all Ukrainian women are scammers, that's not true, it's the same as to say all Americans are fat...sorry to everybody who is from the USA, but here such opinion was rather popular several years ago, when there were not so many contacts...so you see it's just a stereotype...but I don't think that a scammer would do so much work, communicate with you on the phone, e-mails, messenger, send SMS, give you her home address, knowing that you can check it, and waiting for you to come to her...don't you think it's a big amout of work, too big for scammer??? Of course you may always send flowers, but don't say that it's for checking, because it will offend your girl, but you can always say something like "I want to send these beautiful flowers to you just because I like you". Because I think that saying "I want to check if you're real or not", will show that you have no trust to her...and you will deeply offend her.
As for pre-nups, I have already expressed myself, and I don't have any wish to return to that topic again.
Good point Ptichka. Sufbob, if you consider each woman to be a scammer you will either decide not to go or will be humiliated into not going at all. Yes, I know that there are women who aren't truly sincere or not really serious about their intentions and it makes one's search harder. But I think this last point is just as much the fault of the guys. I can tell which ladies are serious and which are playing games rather quickly. Most men who go on a tour are dazed by the flash of youth. Many of them are more concerned with a trophy for their arms instead of a true heart. But then you come across men who have a heart full of love and just want to share their lives with someone who will love them back. This is where I can see your situation Sufbob. I wish you luck!
U want your ding dong to glow in the dark mate? - Remember Chernobyl's nuclear disaster? - Guess what part of Russia (or former part of Russia it's in)????
A friend of mine who travelled along the Ukraine in passed three weeks talked a lot about beauty of Ukrainian women. I would not say they look misshapen or ugly the way he describes ;o). 15 years passed since Chernobyl disaster, so there is no palce for inevitable consequences any longer. Calm down.
Her I was 4 years old when the Chernobyl disaster happened....and have to admit I feel OK:))) No problems with that thing in Chernobyl, OK I live far away from it, but in Donestsk they were utilizing the materials from it (or something like that) and thanks God feel no bad things:))) So please don't think so much about that. And I know that one girl made a trip through Chernobyl region, and she took pictures, and she didn't feel anything bad with her, and people start returning there, the radiation is reduced greatly, so it's not very dangerous to live there...so please don't worry about that:)))))
I was hoping there would be some effects being felt in the country. Someone once described the perfect woman as having 3 "you know whats." 2 in the front and 1 in the back, for dancing.
