Apparently, this week is National BBQ week in the UK.
Thats Shashlik for our FSU readers.
The thought of BBQ`s always conjours up for me a vision, of a raving lunatic in a blood stained apron, 1/2 a cow or some such beast, a large felled and dismembered tree, and a gallon can of premium unleaded !!!
Usually followed with w few hours by the wail of the fire sirens, and a visit to the local A&E department with 3rd degree burns and food poisoning !
Such a dangerous way to spend a bank holiday weekend !! ;o)
I prefer less risky ventures, like going out and buying myself a motorcycle, which I have rashly just done this afternoon !!!
"Dont panic" (Hitch hikers guide to the Galaxy)
Yes I do know how to ride one, Ive had a full license since I was 17, but havnt had a bike for about 10 years or so, decided it was time to get back on two wheels occasionally :o))
Congrats Tim. I also ride a motorcycle. And i was also first licensed at 16 - kept it active even though i didn't ride for about twenty years. Then about ten years ago I bought myself a bike - and I've been riding ever since.
Oh please not not...I wish so much to go to the picnic with BBQ, and I hope that very very soon we will go there:))) But I miss this thing since the last autumn....
Though our BBQ's are not as you described:)) usually very very nice with many things, if we go to the forest there is a usual jumping through the fire, if we go to the tourists base then there is going to the river bank at night and looking at stars and having a drink....oh.....what a picture:)))))
I am having a bbq tonight, must be time for the man to cook then, ever noticed that the only time a man wants to cook is at a bbq, must be a caveman thing over an open fire
Actually we have a tradition, girls cook all salads, potatoes, and serve the table, and boys prepare the meat and cook it, and actually they buy it even, so girls don't touch it with a single finger...:)))
"....Makes mental note, watch out for the strange behaviour of FSU women and the odd desire not to touch meat !! ;o)) "
hmmm, I'll have to find out about this one myself Tim =)
Speaking of BBQ's, me and some friends were spearfishing off the coast all weekend. Every night we BBQ'd some of the fish we caught during the day, dam it was good. Unless you don't like fish I suppose
My Nat does'nt known anything about BBQ but she will try it when we will be together. Other wise, she loves the salats in the cafes. I cannot contradict her about them.
