Americans like their beer good and COLD unlike Germans! None of that, "Let's sit it outside all day and by the afternoon, it will be nice and warm". I am one of the few people here that likes it a little bit colder than room temperature. Must be the German in me(Eckstein)
WT,
5 years ago i visited a town outside on Frankfurt named Speyer and the Kaiser Dome. What a splendid town. Ever been there? Anyways i was not aware that this area was a wine region . I Did not know there was a wine culture in Germany .
But at that time they were out with a beer that was known a a (blonde beer) becoming popular when i was there and it was served slightly colder than room temperature. Delicious.
Warts, Ditto...let's marry him off to a woman with lots of facial warts.
Izi, last year if I remember accurately, my acquaintance, correspondence and friendship development with the 'final six' lasted
six months or longer until I decided to visit Lena and still did so without wearing my heart on my sleeves.
Since I started looking in FSU I have turned 48, 49 and will turn 50 in January.
And marrying my sweet childless Lena is only the beginning.
Please realign this 'turning 50 and not getting any younger' defeatist line of thought.
Eat healthy, exercise regularly, become a good dancer and flirt wih someone much older than yourself. You'll see how quickly you start feeling young again.
Tip: I think Janet Reno lives near you. And boy what a hottie!!...:)
For over a year while I was chasing all the other FSU foxies and until late last fall, Lena was always in the back of my mind with her adorable smile and seemingly unbridgeable age gap.
So one of my favorite topics of discussion with every single woman I chatted with or wrote to was big ages gaps between themselves and the men they currently attracted and how they thought of it.
Generally, most women would prefer a man older than themselves for different reasons: stability both financial and mental, experience, knowledge, etc etc etc...
But what these women definitely do not want is someone who already "thinks he's too old" regardless of his age or rushes into a relationship out of need to have someone in their lives.
By the way...did you get your AARP card yet?...:))
50 is definately cool; b-day 2 weeks ago. My 25 year old daughter mentioned that my Moldovan Lucy is her age. I retorted that this was simply not true- that Lucy was old enough to be her big sister at 31. (Course my son in law is 37.)
The ex is curious about what what the next looks like.
I am still waiting to feel like a grown up, but I suppose it will never happen.
Toad what you said about FSU women and older men acurately reflects Lucys view towards our age difference.
She further tells me that the typical Moldovan man at 50 looks significantly older than I do. (I don't even color my hair or wear a rug either).
Lucy's father is 65 and looks and moves like he is 80. He is a great guy tho. Her mother died on my last visit (November) also 65, in photos I saw of her she looked much older. Lu was amazed at how well my parents both in their mid 70's look.
(The mother's Moldovan funeral in the 'Fiddler on the Roof' clone village of Ungheni Village was an other worldly experience to say the least. I felt extraordinarily priveledged to be a part of it.)
I wonder if part of the allure of the West to these FSU women is the quality of life and longer life expectancys we generally enjoy?
Yeah its funny how bad we have polluted this world and we are living longer with our Suvs than in any other time in history. Average age is life expectancy for men in the US is 70 and women is 77. The only reason men aren't living longer than the women in the US is because of the damned american women!
Yeah the death gap is closing because smart men like us have found women in the FSU. Now we truly have something to live for. I stand corrected my amphibian friend!
Toad, Larissa has told me on many occasions, she does not want a better way of life, she want a better life and that does not mean anything in the economical arena.
I've told Lena many times that "I want it all"...I even sent her a home made video that among many other things shows a bright red little pillow I have on my bedroom that says: "Dear Santa, I want it all"...:))
Nothing wrong with wanting it all, as long as we're happy, grateful and satisfied with who and what we got at the end of the day.
Nas,
If FSU women were the primary reason why the death gap is closing between US men and women, a score of feminist and other anti-male legislators would have forced the issue against it long ago.
Advances in medicine over the last 30 years have kept us ticking longer than almost any other industrialized country.
What we do here is still far from even making a dent to the way main stream society plunges into marriage life.
But it's growing steadily and INEXORABLY...:)
A week does not pass without my 18 year old son finding any reason to ask me questions about Lena, our plans, reasons for doing what we're doing and my views in general.
Every time we have this talks I always end them with my traditional "Just keep an open mind, learn as much as you can about the world and don't ever marry or impregnate an american woman...Here, take some condoms with you"
I have had the same talk with my boys, except I took themto a mall and we sat down and watched the people. I pointed out the young ones pushing babys and the olderones dutifuly following behind. I bought the all a case of condums and told them wear two if you have any doughts!
Get away from the kids, Izi.
If you don't watch it, they'll make you feel old and poor very fast..:))
A looooonnng time ago here someone said FSU women under 25 are already pretty much spoilt and greedy just like their western sisters.
I never seriously talked to any FSU woman under 25...I swear officer, she told me she was over 25!!
