Have to send him some Back Bacon to make sure he eats properly eh. I do enjoy reading about everyone's experience. I've always had romantic notions about Russia and had an unreolved itch to visit. One day I bought a wall map from National Geographic to find a nice spot to visit but the former USSR is SOOOOOOOO freaking huge! There was no way to decide where to go. Moscow? Kiev? St. Pete/Leningrad? Maybe the wooded Siberia in the summer? Or the Black sea region? Ahh, it was enough to pull out hair by the handful. I'm hoping this search can at least resolve a few issues, and down that list is a Visit to a former Soviet state. I think they were to St. Petersburg and Kyev. My problem is that they always originate from New York - and a connecting flight is never a bargain. (And I don't want to go to St. Pete or Kyev anyway). But then transatlantic flights are comapartively cheaper, so the extra distance cost gets swallowed up and made to look a beter deal, in those cheap areas of the journey. $1000 to any FSU country from the US is not at all a bad deal guys, when you know that it can cost us that from here !! tony1234 Member send PM   block PM add to buddies Send: 4/4/2004 10:30:05 AM   Sheesh, these oils prices really make travel difficult. With fiance.com we have Olga to check out our suspicions, and this forum in which we can help each other too. I like it though because of their tours and schedules, and of course because of Elenas advice and book for sale. Elena`s is merely an address`s for sale facility. As Jeff says, once you buy the address and if the girl used an agency of her own to put her on Elena`s, from that point on you are dealing with a whole new ball game and Elena`s, unlike fiance.com don't vet these agencies or keep control of what goes between you and the girl as nothing goes through Elena`s like it does here on fiance.com. If you are new to this quest or in any way scared about being scammed, then please stick with fiance.com. Places like Elena`s will require a lot more work on your part, a lot more insight into the possible ways you could be scammed, more knowledge of detective work that can be done to ensure your safety and peace of mind, and far more chance of you being scammed at all !!
