“Those of us who are US citizens should press our government to investigate these bombings. If the US Department of State were to conclude that the Russian Federation is a State Sponsor of Terrorism, then US organizations would be prohibited from categories of trade with Russia, probably going well beyond current sanctions.”
Durak,,,, if the staff of the US. State Department and our current administration spent any time at all behind their desks, doing their job,,,, then they know full well that Russia and Putin are behind everything in Ukraine.
Don’t forget that Obama took part in disarming Ukraine.
Losing Ukraine to Russia could all be part of the plan!

LR1701....very high official knows but politics and economics are undermining Russia's war against ex-USSR countries.
Arizona U.S. Sen. John McCain said something on CBS’s “Face the Nation” Sunday about the U.S.’s handling of the ongoing standoff between Russia and Ukraine that surprised host Bob Schieffer.
“I’m ashamed of my country, I’m ashamed of my president and I’m ashamed of myself that I haven’t done more to help these people,” McCain said. “It is really, really heartbreaking.”
McCain was expressing his frustration with how the U.S. and major European powers like France and Germany have failed to stop Russian president Vladimir Putin’s advance on Ukraine.
“I believe that German chancellor and president of France legitimized for the first time in 70 years the dismemberment of a country in Europe. It’s shameful. Vladimir Putin has not paid any price,” McCain said.
McCain supports providing weapons to Ukraine to help fight against the Russians and pro-Russian separatists. The Ukranians “are not asking for American boots on the ground, but merely weapons to defend themselves against the Russian onslaught,” McCain said.
“Vladimir Putin wants Ukraine not to be part of Europe, and he is succeeding in doing so,” McCain continued, adding “this is really a dark chapter in the history of our alliance.”
Schieffer circled back to McCain’s comments about being ashamed because of the U.S.’s failure to intervene, expressing just how surprised he was to hear the Republican say that.
“I’ll say this, senator, I’ve known you for a long, long time, interviewed you many, many times, and I’ve never heard you say I’m ashamed of my country, which you just said,” said Shieffer.
“And I’m ashamed of myself,” McCain responded.
K-dag,,,, what have the sanctions done? Putin and his rich friends still have plenty of money, and have only experienced some minor inconveniences. The poor common folk no longer have to carry as much groceries home,,,,, life is good for them!
The tanks have plenty of fuel, plenty of munitions, the troops will get their vodka, cigs, and enough food to keep pulling the trigger. Life is good for them too!!
What has the west done to stop a tank in it’s tracks??
LR 1701
In the context of Sen McCain, I feel the same.
Like you said LR “The tanks have plenty of fuel, plenty of munitions, the troops will get their vodka, cigs, and enough food to keep pulling the trigger.”
Also the people on either side of the border and near it are still carrying out normal businesses, social gatherings, traveling for wife/sex seekers. While I was in Europe (UA, MD and the Baltics) I did not see large protest against RU, locals preparing for a major incoming crisis…
Actually, Ukrainians are more concerned about serving in the military than defending their homeland; we call this” lack of moral caliber effect”. Everyone knows the rebels gains comes from Russian’s military and political support. (so, let’s not waste paper/ink on this ).
Remember the Iraq invasion!!!
Folks,
The question is …Are we preparing for an incoming worldwide catastrophic/ crisis reaching your neck of the woods or are we still looking for a wife material in UA,RU?
I guess…Getting out of your comfort zone and fighting for Ukraine is out of the question!

sadly, not a damn thing. people are preparing for the loss of mariupol in the next 10 to 14 days because most rational people know that without any outside help it will fall quickly with much loss of life and kharkiv is now also at risk. With the suck-ass military leadership we have, we can expect the loss of 2-3000 troops and as many as 5000 civilian losses. The UN figures are grossly underestimated at 5600 dead. The real figure is as much as 10 times that with nearly 10,000 Ukrainian soldiers dead and probably closing in on 6000 Russians dead also.
Those of you in the west are not getting all of the story and only half of the truth.
K-dag: “Actually, Ukrainians are more concerned about serving in the military than defending their homeland; we call this” lack of moral caliber effect”. “
Rick: “With the suck-ass military leadership we have, “
Yeah! Things need to change drastically for Ukraine to have any chance what so ever.
Ukrainian soldiers have the bad habit of leaving their stuff behind when retreating,, guns, ammo, and heavy equipment. I have no military training,,, and even I know that’s something that you never do! You take it with you, destroy it, or booby-trap it,,,, never gift wrap it.
While I believe it is Obama not giving a flying fuxk,,, under normal conditions,, even a loyal American administration might have trepidations sending advanced weapons to a country that leaves it behind.
Rick posted "Those of you in the west are not getting all of the story and only half of the truth". not only that but we in the West is no listening out of indifference.
Here is an insert from an military expert. Putin's objectives are nothing new, but is shocking to see the lack of support among the Europeans for economic means to really squeeze Putin," as the Col. Jacobs noted.
This is Putin's objective in Ukraine: Expert
Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to take control of Ukraine along the border down to Crimea, and it's beginning to look like that may happen, retired Army Col. Jack Jacobs told CNBC on Monday.
..........
Meanwhile, the United States doesn't seem willing to do what it takes to put a stop to Putin, Jacobs said.
"We don't even have support among the Europeans for economic means to really squeeze Putin," he noted.
Jacobs said that's because Europe does not want to break any economic connection with the country.
"They've thrown in the towel already. They're not on our side and we're not going to do anything to irritate Western Europeans, quite frankly."
"Politically, the accident gave great significance to the new Soviet policy of glasnost, and helped forge closer Soviet-US relations at the end of the Cold War, through bioscientific cooperation. But, the disaster also became a key factor in the Union's eventual 1991 dissolution, and a major influence in shaping the new Eastern Europe."
Does this mean that nuclear accidents are a "good thing"? Fukushima was not that bad after all?
so you rest easy looney the ukraine reactors are made by the same people as fukasuma ... ukraine reactors a ticking bomb that will ruin most of ukraine ... i hope russia take control so much .... a chance for my kids to have clean air
"ukraine reactors a ticking bomb that will ruin most of ukraine ... i hope russia take control so much .... a chance for my kids to have clean air"
The Chernobyl disaster was the worst nuclear power plant accident in history in terms of cost and casualties. It was under the direct jurisdiction of the Soviet Union.
Bring your kids to Chernobyl, Danny to breathe the clean air that the Soviet Union created.
.Though it was build in Soviet times, the reality is that Russian were navigating the boat. The reactors were graphite which burns, great idea. There are still reactors in Siberia that have no containment buildings over the reactors. Great planning and what the satellites countries to "Mother Russia" can soon expect again.
If this article holds true... The US nor the EU will intervene til Russia have suffered or exasperated it's resources or Ukraine is at its last breath.
