The crew know us now and address me by my first name, had a good laugh without any 'normal' passengers, the beer was flowing, the music was blaring, we even had cockerels wandering around, this ferry normally only operates in daylight, we arrived back to the island in darkness last evening and the Captain was taking things very slowly entering the port area. Lots of supplies to unload at the land but now, it seems, we're getting messed around by yet another nipa supplier ... they'd said they could produce 2,000 nipa's by the end of this week, we collected 300 on Monday expecting them to have atleast a further 500 or 600 ready for us to collect today but when we phoned them from the ferry yesterday they'd only prepared 100 ... I estimate I need some 5,000 nipa's for just one roof and waiting for the roof to go on is now delaying things ... might have to source yet more supplier(s)! I'm busier than hell here, no time and often no internet availabilty for such nonsense, so much so that girlfriend and I actually feel like we need the one day off of Sunday per week. Only yesterday morning we took the motorbike up island first lunching with a fellow Brit and his Filipina girlfriend before off to occupy the afternoon beside the beach with another Brit and his Filipina wife before returning to the first couple who served us with a most delightful 'British' Sunday roast pork dinner, by the time we got back home last evening it was 9pm. They are quite cheap, and if you are worried about not enough capacity, install 2 of them. Rag'n'Bull Member send PM   block PM add to buddies Send: 7/25/2012 8:21:44 AM   LR, For months, on and off, I've been taking opinions/advice from others and I have decided to dig an approx 3m well, the well diggers are hopefully starting this Friday and will get through the limestone OK, then there will be a 1hp pump pumping the water from the well to a 500 US gallon water storage tank and then there will be a 1hp pressure tank pumping the water from the storage tank around the development.
