That always happens in a debate. There will be people that will personalize it. But why should that limit discussions here? The subject title should tell someone enough to know if the thread subjectmatter will be offensive to them or not. They do have a choice. If they choose to step into the fire then it's their own fault. We are all adults here. I agree that some subjects that are obviously designed to offend others should not be allowed but next you will tell me sarcasm will not be tollerated becasue people's feelings my be hurt. Easily offended people really do not belong in adult discussions. When they take offence to an opposing view it tends to be a sign of something else but that is getting into basic psychology.... :-P wessman Member send PM   block PM add to buddies Send: 9/3/2004 10:50:00 PM   You are certainly right Groon, (and I would like to know what that handle Groon is all about) this whole deal here is most assuredly all about inter-personal relationships... How we deal with others, you know toad and td can hold there own and there are others out there too that can deal with criticism and confrontation. Others on the other hand can not handle confrontation because they have little experience and take things so personally. There are thin skinned individuals here that take criticism as a direct assault to their intelligence. What I see that gets by a lot of people is the Defender's Paradox, someone comments on a thread and someone else sees it as a direct assault on the other guy and then become the defender starting a three or four way confrontation. That is human nature and an adult should realize these things. I do not expect to have as close of a relationship as Id Tim H or Toad and Thunderdome have as I have not been here long enough to really work at this. Some guys just do not play well with others that’s all. About religion it is my strong point I have studied Religious Philosophy for years but my beliefs are personal and not generally up for debate. I like to spar a little about things in general. From the perspective of how if may or may not affect our individual search for a good FSU woman to match our interests, ideology, goals, needs and even sex drive, discussing our religious beliefs or lack thereof among ourselves is completely useless. Religion is the most divisive and useless topic to the essence of this forum. Period. That's why Olga watches it like a hawk when it rears it fugly head and closes it when it gets going. I seek to build a healthy and loving relationship with a woman who matches my religious non-beliefs....why in the world would I want to waste time arguing/debating or discussing religion with anyone here...??? There is no new information about the topic for anyone to benefit in our search. There are no last minute changes in the 10 commandments like you see in the inmigration laws of various countries. The seas have not parted unless some nasty hurricane shows up. The detector has left good stuff and there is really good info here. I am going to go to Russia and get married man, I am not here to discuss John the Baptist or the short comings of the *%$^# church, cause I do not care.
