Like here the North East are generally have a Democratic way of thinking and the South has a Republican way of thinking. And for Russia which has so many cultures and "countries within countries" makes what differences we have in America small in comparison. You say it just a preference, which type of Russian woman do you have a preference for? Mari provence? Tataar? to totally different areas with totaly different veiws, values and beliefs. Most people looking for Russians also consider Ukraine, Kazakistan, and all the others to be part of there preference to, and all those countries a different too. So it goes back, why not German? Italian? German and Russians are different but so are Russians and Kazakistans. But like the way I started off, all people at a basis are the same, the girl you meet from any country is going to be nice, funny, beautiful, caring, faithfulness. The main values of what a human male looks for. Is it just because finding a Russian women is easier purhaps? I certanly found that it is.....and even easier still to find a philipino, :-) they dont care what you look like as long as they can get the hell out of the Philipines :-) By the way, Bastard_Kid is my pan-handle at work. :-) Im a Pit Snipe. Funny how wrong your perceptions can be. My fiance told a friend(she doesn't know I know) that the english were haughty, serious and unfriendly, and although she has never seen it in the way I behave or treat her, she has this little feeling at the back of her mind that I may be. I spoke to a Polish woman at work the other day and she said that was her perception as well, I can't think of myself as being haughty:-)) Travel broadens the mind and breaks down national stereotypes. It cost me about $1.88 U.S for a fifteen minute call from my computer to her cell phone. The sound was very clear. Thanks for your help! One of the first things I noticed about Russians is their public face and private face. You will see their public faces in many of the girls photos and the average person on the street; a plain or even dour expression. In Volgograd, I was openly stared at. As an average American, I walked down the street with a big grin on my face that easily marked me as a foreigner. But indoors, Russians become very friendly and open (often smiling and joking). It was a shocking contrast when my lady and I left my apartment and her expression immediately changed from a smile to a frown as we stepped out the door! I sometimes shake my head as I try to reconcile a girl’s dour expression in a photo and her statement to being a happy and cheerful girl. Intellectually I understand it, but it’s still hard to get past. As for, Why Russian women? It’s an economically depressed country, there are more women than men, the men treat them poorly, ect. I doubt you would find so many women willing to move their entire lives to another country if these problems weren’t present. And that while younger Russian women could often be seen with older men sitting in BMWs or fancy restaurants - they are almosst never seen together on the busses or elsewhere in public? (Suggesting that wealth or the perception of wealth may play a bigger part in this attraction than might otherwise be supected). Again its the perception of wealth you represent because you are a foreigner that makes them turn a blind eye to your age. Actually the local rich FSU man has a huge advantage over us. We will lose our girl to him everytime. Already the changes are happening in the FSU. Most of the young beauties have no desire to leave their country. Thus the local rich man is the logical choice for them. 5 years from now and this party is over guys. I smile at everyone I pass. Tends to make them at ease. When I don't do it people tend to treat me as a threat which is usually ok with me but it does get to be irritating. Trad: Yeah I spoke to my lady for the first time this past weekend. She sounded better than what I imagined. She expressed wanted me to call her directly after that. so now we've talked everyday since Sat. It's a bit funny because her english is very limited and my Russian is almost nonexistant. But it's cool. She practices her english and I practice my Russian. I didn't notice but before we actually spoke she did not seem like a real person. Now that I have a human voice and personality to go with the emails and photos things have taken on a whole new feel. Not sure if you are following me. Anyways it's pretty damn cool. The very most of russian and ukrainian women are interested to marry to the west because of financial reasons. Also the often described traditional values are just a nice story. Most of the russian ladies, which married to the west and which I knew, changed their habit rapidly soon after. It shows also the development for example in Moscow, where women tend to be much more westernized than in rural areas. Its ust a question of money and of time. From my years lasting experience I also would like to confirm, that russians are very different in their behaviour outdoor and indoors. But anyway, I never meet people being more egoistic than russians. The social responsibility towards a person being in big problems is very underdeveloped.
