I asked my lawyer how and she said that the child suport is not covered under bankrupcy and she can spend it how she likes. I am glad Shaggy won in the end. My ex wife every now and then tells me that as the 1st wife she is entitled to something or the other I can't remember exactly what. This is regardless of me marrying again or any subsequent children. However, I don't think she would ever push it she isn't like that. I have already decided that should anything like this happen to me I and my money will just dissapear. Completely feasable, done it before. Just drop off the radar completely. I have no idea how to construct a pre nup or how to word it. I am also very worried about frightening away a potential lady because of it. It seems to say I am failing before I start. It is very confusing. Then the actual broaching of the subject. How the hell do you bring this up. A prenup, same like any contract, it is compiled by someone who's trained for that, I suppose a lawyer. Be advised professionally, have it compiled, and then you might see that what is actually in there is hardly hostile, however that depends on what you instuct the guy to put in there. You can even have this done without a name specified, an 'open' one, to familiarize yourself with the idea you clearly have some problems with. I strongly encourage you to spend some time researching the nature and practical application of prenups, even if it costs you a few bucks to consult with a shyster about them. To prevent the potential friction the mere mention a prenup may create when opening the subject to a woman I care about, I always lead the conversation towards the issue in the beginning when she invariably asks: "why or what makes you think you're better off with a russian/ukraine/belarusian/moldovan/martian wife?...." This question is usually presented early in the communication between the FSU woman and the western man. When nobody has done any 'feeling investment' on each other yet. It is the perfect opening to explain some of the aspects about life in the west that are no longer attractive to millions of men looking for wives all over the world, including your state laws regulating marriages, abusive practices by attorneys, unfair assignments of monies after divorce/separation by the courts, etc etc etc.... Since early this year I started talking to dozens of FSU women, but only 2 of them did not ask that particular question in one form or another. So I asked it for them, instead...."Helena, aren't you curious why a man like me is looking for a wive from eastern europe?..." Yes, several women were very emphatic and knowledgable about prenups in general and did not hesitate to say: "any man who wants to marry me with one of those better look elsewhere for a wife"...so I did. The six lovelies I still talk to, including the ones I will soon visit were open minded and wanted to know more about it before taking a position on the topic. We can be 'grateful' to the idiotic western men who travel the sex tours with blank prenups in hand asking FSU to sign them that casues some of the misconception perceived by eastern women about these documents. In general when the topic is brought up, I explain this is one of many documents she will need to understand and get familiar with if she is serious about starting a new life in the west. To name a few: health insurance, family trusts, life insurance, bank accounts, investments accounts, home owners insurance, mortgages, leasing contracts, club memberships, subscriptions, credit cards....and that doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of the massive amount of contracts involving what I do for a living for my clients and the companies that provide the products for them. I don't plan to delegate managing all of these things to my new wife, but I need to know I'm married to someone who is willing to do the work to understand them in case of emergency or mere convenience. I have someone already that I have replaced the lady from Mariupol with and it is starting to look really really good. I must say I don't know what I am doing right but I find these ladies very easy for me to get along with. I am very afraid to spoil this by the suggestion of a pre nup and also I don't really have too much in life. Not broke but I'm by no means wealthy. I had a spinal spur in my cervical vertebrae. My spinal cord was restricted down to 7mm. Compression is considered to have begun at 13mm. One good case of whiplash would have paralyzed me from the neck down. Chris Reeves country. This SOB put me through surgery, placed a plate fusing my 3 vertabrae but failed to remove the spur. It was the whole point of the surgery. 3 months later I go to Italy to forget about my upcoming divorce. Long flight. I was in a lot of pain by the time I got to Rome. Spent 3 weeks in intense pain with no idea what was wrong with me. Got back to the states and the pain quickly increased. He gave me pain pills (eventually). Took more xrays and an MRI. Went back to his office and my insurance changed by one day. He refused to see me and I had to beg for more pain medication. Lived on painkillers for 3 months until I played through the stupid medical insurance system and got to see another neurosurgeon. He ordered a catscan and immediately got to the bottom of the problem. He couldn't get me into hospital fast enough. He removed the spur and got me safe. Now I have loss of feeling and strength in my right hand and some constant aching in my neck. Nothing I can't live with and the 2nd surgeon says there is a good chance that in time I will possibly get back to normal. Hence the attempted law suit. Unfortuantely the law is quirky in Florida and the attorney told me some horror stories. Ulitmately it was not wroth his while trying something that could have a very iffy judgment. So the bastard got away with it. The other bastard could have done the same thing but couldn't be bothered because there wasn't any money in it for him. I was defenseless. So much for doctors, so much for attorneys and so much for the almighty dollar. Partially this explains why I feel so weird about prenups. Money does not come first with me people do. However all avenues must be explored. I just read a few web articles and I understand a wee bit better now. It is definitely going to be a make or break subject.
