Do you know the movie "trading places" with Dan Akroyd and Eddie Murphy?
When we meet we should a loud african rythm chant:
'bbbbbbuuummmmbbbuuuuulleeehhh-bbbuuuummmmbbbuuuuulleeehhh-bbbuuummm bbuuu....aaahhhaaaa..!!!!
Hello guys I have been getting a kick out of your postings .l I also am new to this and have been writing a girl in Cheboksary and I am in the process of getting myself together to go in July . I have never been out of the states and I also am tired of the US women and the way thay are . But I have to say I am scared of going from every thing I hear . Is there anything I need to look out for ? The girl Tanya and I have been talking now for 3 months and I think its time to meet her .
Thanks Joe
JD,
In this quest of finding a good woman from another country and culture even the most insignificant or irrelevant thing, no matter how small, becomes a seemingly unsurmountable and frustrating obstacle if someone does not have ANY international travel experience.
There is no crash course for you to take that can give you the basic know-how that comes with extensive international travel.
Most of us here who have it got it over decades, not months or weeks of globe trotting.
So the next best thing you can do is keep a heightened state of awareness and keep telling yourself:
"...I'm learning something new every minute of every hour that I'm far away from everything I know..."
This mantra will keep you enthused about everything strange you encounter along the way, eager to learn how people of the world manage to survive WITHOUT the 'american way' and safe from the pitfalls that come knowing little or nothing.
You'll be ok.
Learn how other veterans of the forum have done it and choose the most suitable way for you to do it.
That's what I did and it's working well for me, so far.
