I'll have to agree with you Jetmba. You are Jet and I am Jetson. By the way, I was not aware yours started with "jet" until after I had created mine. It is an unintentional coincidence.
Guys , Thank you for the information. I believe I will check Roth out a little further and make my decision later this week. He sounds as though he does a good job. Thanks Bob
I just finished my K-1 visa package and sent it off. Actually was easier than I was expecting. The most difficult thing was gathering all the "evidence" and organizing it and making copies. The paperwork was not very demanding. Really only a couple of pages to fill in and a few simple statements to write. Now the waiting....
Even if you decide to have an attorney do the work for you , you should go to the web and print out the forms (I-129F and G-325a) and visit visajourney.com so you are familiar with what information is necessary. And of course if there are some problems in your or your fiances background then you probably need an attorney.
Hello forum members! I'm new to this site, having come after a few Russian women wrote me at yahoo, and quickly declared their love for me. Now it's true that i'm a helluva man but even I wouldn't have fallen inlove with me that fast.... lol.. i'm sure that's not a unique story.
Since my short membership here i've received email from a few women I find attractive. Any advice guys?
TOAD, will you send me those papers? glenn_pro@yahoo.com
Neonred, what evidence needs to be presented? How much does it cost to file like that? Is there an additional cost on the other side?
GP
Toad bailed a couple of months back although perhaps he is still watching. If you really need his help I am in contact with him and will pass along your request if you wish. However everything that you need to know you can find within the pages of the forum or from current members.
There is nothing new about your journey to this site and forum. Many of us go through the same baptism. Yahoo / disillusionment / Russian scammer / Fiance.com
It is an old story. Search through the threads here and you will find tons of information on scammers and their little 'tricks'.
Suffice to say this that 90% of all the women on Yahoo are a complete waste of time and all the Russian women that contact you there are 100% waste of time. Every last one of the RU women that will work Yahoo is a scammer guaranteed. You can't say that often in life but it is true.
I would suggest (although I would lay money you will not take my advice) not bothering writing too much. Organize a trip over there. Choose a city and go. Before you go write to many women from that city and sort through a little and collect phone numbers and addresses. At the same time find an agency that will help you with all your needs. i.e. Apartment, interpreter, cellphone, introductions etc.
Hopefully they will shepherd you from the airport and on through your dates. Dates will consist of going for lunch or dinner or even maybe a walk in a park. You will get to know the lady and in some cases very quickly weed out the ones you are not interested in. Some you will want to see again. If you are fortunate like my friend Jetson and me you will find a lovely lady right away.
Writing letters is for the most part a complete waste of time. Yes you can get to know someone, I did, but it doesn't begin to tell you the story of who they are. Only meeting can do that when you look in her eyes and you will feel something or you will not.
When you meet a special lady you will want/need to return and see her again. The agency will again be your link. Your one stop shop. Don't worry about them ripping you off it is not in their best interests. It is them that the dollars will get passed to for that apartment, interpreter next time or as in my case English lessons. You will also recommend them so believe me they will not foul their own nest.
There is so much I can add to this post but I need coffee so you will have to just read.
Oh unspoken of need for interpreter - PHOTOGRAPHER :)))
You will need lots of pictures of the 2 of you together and she will come in handy:))

i see you mention them getting you a cell phone while you are there if you have a international cell phone or one that is set up for it i assume you could call the girls there with it and also call back to the states if you need to ....am i wrong ?
Yes Nomad. In Ukraine Russia the system is GSM and uses different frequecies than here. You would need to make sure your phone is 3 band 800, 900 and 1800. Other than that you need a SIM and unlock its code with a download from the web. Then you can use your own personal phone from home there.
Alternatively borrow a phone from the agency and buy a SIM while you are there. Load it with some minutes and you are in business. It isn't hard and the agency will help you. You can also rent phones.
I have used my phone in Russia with great success. I use ATT/Cingular GSM service and thus have a GSM phone (T-Mobile is also GSM). It's a Nokia triband phone 800,1800,1900. Over there they use 900 and 1800 bands and my phone worked great, better than here in the States even though I did not have 900mhz. Might be a different story in Ukraine, however. I unlocked my phone so that I could use any carrier, and then bought a SIM card over there to use the Beeline network. It cost me $10 and gave me my own Russian phone number and $10 worth of air time. The number remains active so each time I return I can use my phone and just buy a recharge card as needed.
Check visajourney.com for all details. $165 to file for K-1 visa, and there are a few hundred dollars worth of fees on the other end...medical exam, interview/visa fee of $100 etc. But that is small change compared to what you will spend visiting and finding the right woman.
You need to show evidence that you have met her in person and that there is an ongoing relationship.
No, you can't really order her out of the catalog and request 2nd day delivery!!
I use J Roth, after another lawyer messed up. I still had to call the congressman for help to get my fiance. He is not responsive if you later need help to get visa for your moth-in-law.
Can't order her out of the magazine? Dang it! i guess that online insant love isn't posible either eh?... Just kidding, I don't expect instant love and devotion, rather hope to find a woman to share a fabulous love with. I've no illusions about it being an instaneous thing, or even a guaranteed one. Just a distant hope.
Thanks for the tips izi, are you familliar with the rates from an agency versus private procurement? I'm sure it's much easier to do so through an agency for a variety of reasons, not the elast of would be familiarity and quality knowledge.
Neonred, thanks for the site, are you familiar with typical wait times for such thing? What's a fair price to expect to make the journey? Any clues you can provide are appreciated. I've corresponded with a few women at Fiance, which have gained my interest, and preliminaryily seem to be much more real than the "I love right now, buy me visa" crowd i've encountered at yahoo. Are you familiar with a cell phone service that can be used from the U.S., avoiding long distance charges? Or perhaps the per minute rates available there?
Has anyone used these phone cards? they seem to have good rates, I'm curious as to the hidden charges
I am not sure about the hidden charges but i have tried several phone cards for cell phone to cell phone and have found the quality of the reception to be substantially worse that with the carrier that i have been using (t-mobile) to the point it was hard to carry on a clear conversation with the language and accent difficulties
I have been using a few calling cards that I like because of the no PIN feature, and the rates are good and accurate with no hidden fees. Look at 5starscall.com Pinless no maintenance and 3longdistance.com The 3longdistance plan allows you to print out a monthly summary of your calls which is great to have when you need that evidence of ongoing relationship.

What a lot of questions! I will see if I can answer some with my latest experience in Kherson. Got to get ready for work now. Coffee must have coffee.
