Honestly, I don't understand those girls who hide away their age...it seams strange to me:) My mom is never afraid to say "I'm 45 years old" because she looks very good to her age:))
Pitchka,
Women in the US who are over 30 and and seek dates or post their profiles on dating sites almost always lie about their age...it's as common as rain water.
I'm not surprised some FSU women do it, as well.
One woman in the US whom I met online and chose to go out with - actually hid behind the door on out first meeting.
I got there, long stemmed rose in hand, and knocked on her apartment door. She peered out at me through the peep-hole then opened the door about a third and said "I don't want to come out because you are going to hate me."
Confused, I asked her what she was talking about. She told me that the picture she had placed on line was five years old, as was her listed age and that she was actually about 35 pounds heavier. And she was.
Another woman in the US claimed to be 135 pounds. I didn't see a picture. (After this I ALWAYS asked for a picture.) I knew how she was to be dressed and when I showed up at the appointed time - there she was - easily TWICE the weight she claimed. She must have been 270 pounds she was HUGE!!
I asked her why she had listed her weight so wrong - and she said that she doubted I would meet her if she told the truth. (She was right.) Since we had met at a restaurant and I was hungry - we ordered anyway. The woman ate her food and mine like a vaccuum cleaner. On leaving she actually asked if we could go ut the next night as well. I declined.
In 1992 I had my first encounter with personals dating. It was through the personals pages of a local newspaper in Miami called The New Times.
I was looking to find a marriage partner that would help me get legal and at the same time we could live happily ever after.
The experience was daunting and I would never use a newspaper again. T start with there are no pictures. Then everything is passing throught the paper and they make sure some money sticks each time.
On top of that to drum up usiness they would send representatives to offices where a lot of women would be and give everyone a 'free' advert. Tons of these women did it for a lark and were to put it mildly dismissive.
I did date quite a few though. Disaster after disaster. One closely resembled the wreck of the Hesperous. Like she had been pulled through a hedge backwards. I was just glad she didn't go to any trouble on my account! Overweight and frumpy.
Another on Miami Beach was about 10 years older than she advertized. She even sensed that I was out of there and said I have money. I think if I had banged her money would have changed hands. I could have started a whole new career!! To think!! Richard Gere move over :)))
They ignored me dumped me were lying to me. The works NEVER AGAIN !!!
