I have received 2 emails from her today that reminded me a little of the beginning with Marina. A certain arrogance. As I have said before I have learned a little. I am so used to western women's superior attitude that I automatically take the "I was just trying to say..." approach. When the real response should f!@# off. This particular woman has lived in New York for 5 years. Probably that is a big enough disqualfier right there. I also have questions about her name that has not been answered. It would probably only take a moment but no. I know when I was an illegal alien if someone had shown interest in me you better believe I would have all over her. As I said superiority. Citizens of the EU countries, the CIS (with a few exceptions for both groups), and most nonmember local countries can no wenter Ukraine as they please - without obtaining a visa. It used to be that it tooa minimum of at least three days (rush service) but generally a week or longer and around $100 to get a sinple visa to enter Ukraine. While not completely probibitive, that task resulted in fewer visitors than there are now. From May 1 to September 1 - with the possibility of indefinite extension - the people refered to will need nothing like that. And it is possible that soon Ukraine will become another Latvia - because Latvia was in the same position as Ukraine just ten years ago. Competition may go up as more western guys are in the area. Prices may go up too as QC may have to pay the local girls 14 cents instead of the 12 cents he would prefer to climb into the back of his van. Things are changing. When I graduated with my MBA I was given a bit of advice that may apply here. I was told that the MBA would open a lot of doors. But once I was IN wherever the MBA allowed me to enter - it was up to me to show that I had the intelligence, the work ethic, the communications skills and everything else what it took to stay there. Its the same with the FSU. Some of us who have had our fill with western women - were given a huge windfall with the fall of the FSU. We had certain advantages, economic and otherwise that would allow the door to be opened to some of the most beautiful and wonderful women we would ever meet. But once IN with a chance to meet these women - it is up to us to show that we have the compassion, the integrity, the masculinity and everything else it takes to stay there. If we do not, our attempt to win a Russian woman will fail just as surely. We all know that we benefited from a strange occurance in world events but the opportunities will not last forever. The door will not stay open forever. As these countries change, as Latvia has, the door will be effectively shut. The result was a short email which said that the reason she had 2 profiles was because she had tried to give her email address out and she got an email from the administrator. It threatened to ban her if she did that again. Therefore she started another profile and slightly altered the details. Height, weight, birthday, eye color, scientist instead of teacher. You get the picture. Now remember this is someone with a PhD in Philosophy. That means she is smart (supposedly). I explained to her that on EWM when two people click they immediately want to move from the internal email system to something more regular, like the pony express for example. Therefore if the admin had pulled her profile they would have no clientele because everybody does it. They would be pulling everybodys profile!! It is natural. So it is a bliff, or even a bluff, and just an automated email not actually a person. Then I went on to suggest that it might be a thought to remove one of them to avoid confusion. It has gone very quiet. This morning I got a one liner. I think the mere fact that I pointed out her STUPIDITY has caused her to walk away. BTW she is from Moscow which seems to be about par for the course for women from there and StP. Now go ahead, tell me that the love of your life is from StP and I am a complete asshole for running down those poor women. Sorry I stand by it. Type the e-address in caps and DOUBLE spaced between letters. But remember this works for CHAT only, not for e-mails. I have found several ways to get around the filter. No problem. As for talking to Moscow on the Hudson I tried. She never called me back. To be really honest with you I feel that 5 years in America has altered her and not in a good way, plus Moscow generally in my opinion is not the place of choice to look. I am not the only one to feel that way. Others will swear by it but generally speaking not for me. I felt I was making an exception and she has worked out true to form. Actually I already have several women I am starting to look at seriously and believe it or not one is a doctor from Moscow!! So far she has prove to not be like all the others I have had contact with from there. She is very nice. So you see I am not a complete bigot after all:)) I just finished talking to /chatting up a lovely little Malaysian girl at work. This isn't even dangerous she has to go back to Penang in July !! Khabarovsk lies close to the sea Of Okhotsk and just across the water ( west) from Japan. I once thought this is where I would reconnoiter with a Siberian princess. Go to Japan,then take the hop to K-rovsk. But I would probably not make it out of Japan. I have so many lovely ladies in process now and it has only been a week that I don't think this is going to fly. Since my afair with Marina has ended in a stupid tragic way I have persevered. In fact jumping back in and taking some of Toads advice regarding a particular pastime has really helped me. It is only when I slow down and start thinking that I start to get sad. If I keep going the way I am I should be fine in a few more days. Being lied to is a bitch. The consequence of all this is that I will not compromise. I know what I want and I will not tolerate anything less. It has hardened me.
