If you go to the Skype web site and look at the shop, they are selling phones designed to work specifically with the software. The difference in the quality of the call is significant. I use it for business and personal calls and find it invaluable. Yes, sometimes there can be a lag but it is an improvement over using a headset and mic.
ahhh.. guys.. I am not talking about using Skype or messenger or another software like that. The thing I am talking about is a normal phone, you will just have to connect it to a switch to use it. U don't even have to have the computer turned on to use it. It shall operate exactly as a normal phone, except it uses the cabel from your internet connection instead of the phonelines. They all tell me it is great, but I just wanted to hear it from someone objective as well..
God you know what pisses me off. I come here and read the same old posts. Toad did this, Toad did that, this ain't fair, whine, whine, whine.JESUS CHRIST LET IT GO ONCE AND FOR ALL! This is the main reason I hack on people, they keep beating the same fucking thing in the ground all the time. Damn if you don't like it here hit the road. Doing the same thing over and over is insanity at it's finest, or I prefer anal attentive.
Speaking of Mustangs, I was watching "Bullitt" this morning, it's the Right winged Movie of the week. Now that's a mustang! Also the black Charger was slick. Funny how Ford has regressed it's styling back to the 69 fastback. The new mustangs have me thinking about buying a new car. But hell if I'm going to spend that kind of loot for a ride I will look for an old Mopar muscle car for fun.
This is a nice thread, it comes as if sent from Polar Heaven.
You see Izi, of course they use glue underneath ic's - you think they should use cake icing rather? It's just there to keep the damn thing from rolling off when you chuck it into the solder bath. I mean, you wanted a radio, right, not a microwave oven? If you need to repair too much change employer and join Panasonic, that quest for zero defect you know ;-)
N()Rman, never even heard of that technology. VOIP I suppose is the future and you say it's 'here' already, but do keep in mind that whole continents do not have, and quite likely never will have, cable-connections, and this you need for speed, and speech. Wireless broadband is all the latest craze here, but courtcases galore already because of infringements on established monopolies protected by the almighty state affecting their income called 'share'.
Dial-up works however, but is r - e - l - i - a - b - l - e , and the Skype is the Limit.
Fully in-line with this tread, isn't it remarkable that one notoriously non-specific contributor is absent sofar? After all, chasing windmills was his forte, and his means of transport was quite different than a modern-day muscle car. Unlike Mike he never had any octane running in his vains, the concept of horsepower even was alien. QED I suppose, and don't read dyslexic now QC....
The great thing about it is that I can call anyone with this. I dial a number just as I used to. The only one that need to have a cabel is in fact me. I can call for free to all of USA, Western Europe and most of Russia and the baltic states. Some of Russian and southern America along with Africa is free the first 100 minutes, then I have to pay just a really small amount the remaining time I talk. We have this technology and everyone tell me it is so great, and ofcourse it is free of charge within most of the world... I only pay the monthly internet bill... Voice over IP.. Yeah right.. I think I have to order it..
yeah, they buy bandwidth in bulk in advance, and local relays inject it into the local wires at local cost. Skype in fact does exactly the same, I know someone (in Europe) who uses this exclusively for his work, and at discounted rates - of course. However, your "need to have a cabel is in fact me" remains the bottleneck, balanced by the restrictions on the other end. Precisely the same as with those rock-bottom cheap calling cards who prey on 'spare' bandwidth, if at all a very fluctuating entity.
If there IS no bandwith, or when it varies then there's only broken comm's, and if I get calls from Moscow I better hang up and phone myself. At quite different cost of course, but jeez, one wants to talk right?
But order it, I'm sure it will save you, especially now during the roll-out of this system. Later the cartell's will jump onto this phenomenon as well so you'll end up paying same, not more I hope. Beware of those limits eh, this normally is where the sting of the deal is.
Please is felice or alex or aleksei the same person?
Does he work in tourist company in Belarus?
please someone should answer me.Do someone havee his phone number and his official email address?
Thanks for anticipated reply.
Your post is so cryptic that I haven't a clue what you are taking about. I have talked to a Russian lady many times using Skype.. pc to landline... and although not perfect, it has been acceptable quality. When it is not I use a discount phone service or hang up until I get a good connection. It is not perfect but good enough. QC
but she uses a very cheap phonecard. It seems it uses the remainder of space available (bandwidth-rest) and it simply does not work, to such an extent even that recognizing the voice is tricky.
So I phone.
Svictor,
log in and see Felice's email-addy yourself, like your own and anybody else's.
Thanks thunderdome for your advice. Is it face or name that confuses most, No, name because some people have different appearance. No nickname, something a.k.a. Any felice or alex or alaksei could be the same person. Wonderful, now that you are married
I also know these cards, I have used them as well. They work fine, but sometimes it is lousy sound. Just got to hang up and try again a little later. But of course they are good when it comes to saving money. I have done some research and the IP phoning has the same sound quality as a normal phone, at least from Norway. I know the norwegian tele-net is one of the most modern in the world, that may be the explanation, I don't know.. The receiver of the phoneconversation does not have to have an IP phone at all :) I think at least I will try it.. I will get back to you with the result!
In re: To I am through with this useless forum. This is the typical nonsensical diatribe that has continually went on for over a year, if it isn't the damn moderators, it's Toad fucking with their lives. Now I sit and laugh my ass off at the childish bullshit. I have never seen two bigger cry babies in my whole life
By the time it takes you to finish reading this, more than 2,700 new women will have logged on to a dating site looking for a man.
Do I have your attention?
How about this:
By the end of the day, more than 400,000 women will do the same.
That's how popular dating sites have become. In fact, Internet dating sites are now more popular than single bars and clubs.
It's true.
Recent statistics show that on an average day, there are more than 400,000 single women (and some not-so single) visiting online dating sites.
That's more than the total number of women in the entire state of Wyoming.
Imagine walking around, anywhere in the state of Wyoming -- and every woman you see is single, available and looking to meet you.
