Damn, your pay sucks, Aluc...no wonder so many of your colleagues leaned towards corruption during the New Orleans devastation.
In most parts of the country your salary is less what rent-a-cop earn.
Bummer, really..
You guys got hit hard by the forces of nature,Alucard.Glad you are north of New Orleans. Jefferson is a poor place though--not unlike my own hometown ( which I love) of Missoula,Montana. I have friends in New Iberia, and they actually evacuated there. I was surprised, because it did not seem like anything could budge them. I miss home, but not the struggle of living there. Some people are able to choose beauty over economy
I find if funny as in another thread, they are worried about In God we Trust, but there isn't much hell being raised about a Parish in Louisiana being named after the President of the Confederacy. Can't Fly the Stars and Bars, but the Parish can be named after it's President.
As for Blaming a President for an economic situation. My attitude has always been, it's not the President that affects my income, it is I who affects my income. We must be responsible and lay blame at our own doorstep.
