This is what you can expect. Intolerance, vulgarity, attacks over nothing and arrogance. Welcome. It will not change. My feeling was that I saw your posts and just passed over them because I saw no harm and they didn't concern me. Walk on by. Others will not do that they enjoy attacking for no reason. It serves no purpose but still they do this. They are antagonistic people that serve no real purpose but to constantly urge on a conflict. Now I think I shall really delete this book mark and go to other places with real information. Not that I really need that much anymore. Trip 4 in a couple of weeks. Adios everybody especially the very nice folks who read but do not post. Used to be populated by guys going through predictable phases of the search for a special FSU lady. Advice and encouragement was offered by similar travelers on the same journey. Now it seems that we have residential trolls as well as the visiting kind. And actually most of the prolific writers are not on the journey at all - but instead use this as a personal soapbox to advance whatever political phylosophy or throw whatever barbs at fellow writers, that they can muster as cowardly thugs hiding behind a keyboard. Fewer and fewer people are legitimately asking for advice anymore and those who do are quickly discouraged as they are repeatedly slammed. I've been to forums where ANY off topic posts are deleted. But since other people have already commented on those posts with relevent comments BEFORE deletion (as inevitably happens) the threads soon make no sense. But this forum has gotten out of hand. Any chance someone could start a NEW forum with an appropriate title? Could be called "Anyone Who's Ever Dated A Russian Woman, IS A Russian Woman (Or From A Formerly Occupied Country), Has A Particular Political Phylosophy Or IS Just Filled With Bile, Beat The Crap Out OF Each Other, Residential Fun House Forum". You want serious advice then listen to mine. Ive been to Ukraine yearly for over 10 years. It will end up in pain and hardship for you... You will be at most happy for a few years... You dont hear the sheer reality and aftermath of these relationships becaue the western man is too upset to share it and never wants to get involved in the debacle again... the homesickness , the fake "stereotype" russian woman who is adversited as some family orientated , non femminist , home caring , satisified unambitious woman.. Its all crap and thats what you are dealing with ....Every Russian woman I have spoken to in ukraine says the same thing "yes Im using the western man"'... In most cases she has a bf in russia or ukraine anyway and is just after a quick fix,,,, Ive seen the conditions these woman live in especially in places like Odessa where water is switched on a few hours a day ... The hygene is terrible really and life is crap...... They are still very attached to the culture they live. They dont care about western men other than a view to some salvation... All this crap that you read annoys me because it is written by naive stupid men who go to ukraine and russia looking for divorced woman with kids.. I mean geeses how stupid can you get.... I am sure there are nice genuine girls in FSU who want a family life etc. But remember the crap you will deal with as soon as she sets foot in your country... homesickness , demands etc This is the reality of it all... I am glad to hear that there are still people in here who believe in the principle of the forum. When I first wrote her last year, I was a NOOB and in between the slagging off and bitchin I did find some good bits of information that has helped me along MY path. I thought that maybe I could re-pay, however, I was wrong. I would of like to share my experiences with those who have stalled or were just starting out but it would seem that the moment you say anything, someone is on your back, it's a shame. Maybe I should insert a forum into my new site, I'll think about it and see how hard it is to do. Oh, just thought,, my last line will be classed as advertising by someone I have no doubt. Anyway, if I do decided to do one, no-one would know about it simply because of the way SOME people are in here. The person who wanted to know what my site was, emailed me for it, and since then has actually helped me sort out a couple of glishs, so not all bad I guess. As an example, even by courier, I am trying to send a package to a friend of my lady, in Ukraine, via UPS direct from the retailer. They say delivery within 4 days, it made it to Kiev in 2 days, arriving on 01 December, and it remains in Kiev until this day despite my best attempts to have it released. UPS in Ukraine, and it is some soccer kit, say that the price on the outer label does not match the invoice contained within, the retailer tells me that the outer label does not contain monetary amounts and regardless, if there is a discrepancy it should be referred back to the shipper in UK. UPS Ukraine say they have written to the recipient, that is a lie, and when the recipient telephoned them they were of no useful information whatsoever. Even UPS in UK are trying to communicate with UPS in Ukraine and are getting nowhere. Reading between the lines, and this is some Manchester United soccer kit, not for me I hasten to add, and you can't get this sort of gear in Ukraine for love or money. Someone in Kiev, either UPS or Customs, has taken a fancy to it, realised what it may be worth on the black market, and have decided to keep it for themselves. She had a powerful job in her country, here she hasn't worked for a year(due to pregancy and not being allowed to for 6 months), she makes no demands, has not turned materialistic, has taken what is good about my country, but left what is bad(dummed down tv, junk food, binge drinking and low morals) you have had bad experiences but you try to deter everyone with your bad experiences, I found a beautiful, feminine, loyal, supportive and traditional wife, something I would have found very difficult to find in my country. I am not deluded, she is not going to run off when she has residency, that's not why she is here.
