Excellent news Mike. I wish you and Larissa all the best and I know the feelings you have spinning through your veins !!!
By the way - WTF is "South Bend" ?????
No Bill, I flew Swiss Air.Great flight decent price. Well the BS isn't quite over, I still have to resell her that the USA isn't next to Mars since a former contributors wife here has poisoned the image LOL!
Yes it's a wonderful feeling. Just watching Larissa's big eyes on the ride home, told me this ain't Kansas Dorothy.
well my lady didnt get her visa on 2-9 but will be back again on 2 -22 the lawyer didnt get all info correct and she didnt have 1 paper so she has to return and give them the document then will receive her visa but interveiw was very simple only ask 2 qusstions so now she should be here around the 1st of march wish me luck hammer
I have seen this too many times (on visajourney) where the lawyer screwed up and it delayed the process. When people ask me if they should use a lawyer.... well you can guess my answer.
At the very least everyone should be totally aware of what is required so they can be sure they are prepared and not rely on some lawyer that has hundreds of other more important things he is thinking about.
What was not correct, and what paper was missing? My lady has her interview next month and I am always curious about what problems others have had.
God, you poor Americans, I walked into the British Embassy in Chisinau on the Monday(no appointment) and had the visa by Wednesday. Happily married now with a 4 month old baby.
The wait for you, must be torture, good luck with your Moldovan ladies
you hit it right on the money trad. you would think that these ladies are coming to heaven by the process of the visa and the wait and their perception of this country. its too bad the reality and the let down in their eyes when they see what this place is all about. its not that wonderful here at all. more old people than you ever imagined in your life, more overweight people you ever seen in you life, taxed to DEATH by the government and everyone has an issue an agenda or a soapbox they want to stand on. pretty much a joke. its AMAZING the process we have to go through for a visa. but i still think the guys down under are worse off than we are with what they have to deal with bringing a lady back there
well neon she needed a police record in her birth name and her married name she only took the 1 in her married name and when she went thru the interview they wante to see 1 in her birth name so she went back home and got another and about the lawyers it was a waste of money i could have done all papers and saved 2100.00 dollars and my lady is very piss at the lawyer and she has told them a mouth full but if i had to start over i would do all my self very simple papers but they must be correct ill write more later hope that helps neon hammer
Thanks Hammer. I didn't even think about the birth and married name differences. Did you say which country your girl is from and which embassy she went through?
today is a good day my lady just called and her and her son received there visa today she will be here on 5 may things are going great soon i will be leaving here but thats for all the info ill write more later hammer
hammer that is absolutly great news. Good luck, just pop in from time to time and let us know how your lady and her son acclimate to life in America. It would be a nice change from the doom and gloom bunch from down under.
aussieman:
go tell someone who gives a f*ck,you display all the mental agility of a 2 year old and about as much maturity too.Grow up man.Your rantings are VERY VERY BORING.
Clear enough???
I just wonder if what we have here is a syndrome similar to one a friend of mine described to me. She ran a home for battered women and she noticed after they removed the lady from her present situation and took some time to get back to normal, the women would end up dating the same type of man that beat them in the first place. I wonder if our friends down under are just attracted to or attract head cases. Now I don't know every lady in Ukraine, but the ones I do know do not display any of the personality traits described by our Aussie friends. I can hardly get Lena to say what she would like to do let alone make unreasonable demands or throwing tantrums. Could possibly be their cologne, some aboriginal creation from the out back designed to attract sheep.
Well folks I have just received my letter from the National Visa Center that my petition has been forwarded to the Embassy in Kyiv. Now Lena and I just need to get through the interview process and hopefully in the very near future she will be here with me. I am not sure if it will be possible to get this grin off my face.
Just seen the happy news Bill...:))
Hopefully the worst part is over for you both,Inna and I send our best wishes to you both, fingers crossed that the wait will be a short one.
btw.....if you're grinning now,how big will the grin be when Lena arrives??......:))))
That's great news wmferg! Good luck to you and your lady through the finish line!
Go to the interview with her if you can. It sure would mean a lot to her. It would also be a rewarding experience for you to be there with her during the process and bring her back through the airports and checkpoints to her new home.
