When you walk down the streets in your home town,,,, what do you see??? I saw billboards, posters and signs all over the place,,,,, in every city, with some English on them,, or all English!! English is on advertisements, products, TV, and even on the radio!! Do you know how many billboards or advertisements we have here with Russian printed on them??? NONE!!!!! The people in your countries are getting introduced to English at a very young age. I have also been told by many people, that most kids have an English class in High School. Do you know how many schools teach Russian here??? I don’t know of any!! I tried to find Russian classes at our technical schools,,,, I didn’t find any! As for her feeling lonely, not being able to speak in her native tongue,,, have you forgot about the telephone?? We have several means of communication now, from cheap to free. My wife called home very often, and this was before computer phone service!! However,,, I had met someone online here in the US… who was desperate to speak with someone in Russian!! I had to disappoint her! It was very easy to tell that giss was being sarcastic. If you want to make a point, I suggest you speak plain and straight forward. I know of women in Russia and the Ukraine, that believe the stereotypes of foreign men!! They told me this in person! Both were interpreters,, and it was their job to introduce these “bad men” to their local women???? What does that say about them???? Oh,,, how could I live with a R wife?? I did!! But,,, she was an English tutor! I’ve had,,,,,, relations,,,,, with women who couldn’t speak English! It can get a little interesting! Lol About the eggs,,, yes, I’m sure being hit by an egg, would be an insult and embarrassing!! That incident with Bush and a foreign reporter, involved a shoe,,, not an egg! Like I have said before,,, I do not believe most of the propaganda! I only know a few Russian men, and all seem to be okay guys! I’ve asked most of the women I wrote to, about their fathers?? At least 75% say their father was a good man, and their parents have a good marriage!! So I agree,,, where are all of these bad men??? If there is a point to be made about the Russian men,,, it would be that the young guys are not serious in relations! With there being so many single women, the young guys don’t need to settle down with the first woman they like! I have heard that very often!! But,, yes I know,, it is a line to convince foreign men, that the girl’s interest in them is real! About the men who search for a foreign wife,,, I was at a Anastasia social in Moscow 1998. There were about 20 guys,,, one was quite old, about 70, but a really nice guy. A couple were putzes,,, a little on the strange side, and two were real jerks!! I felt sorry for any girl marrying those two guys! The rest were just regular normal guys! My situation is a little different than most! I am looking to start a family,, not to marry one! Almost every woman my age, or even just in her 30’s has from 2 to 10 kids by now. The time I spent on local dating sites was a complete waste of time,,, I never met with anyone!!!! Three types of women would write to me,,, older,, young and pretty local scammers, and young and pretty foreign scammers. Many of the women clamed to be within the US., but were Russian! If I give up my goal of having children and a family, I will find someone local. Was the computer a gift??? What else would it be? No, I’m sure she could not buy one on her own. The girl I went to Ukraine to meet was 28. The girl I am writing to now is 24! It is far from an ideal situation!!! If I was to start my search over again, I would not consider her. No,, I don’t think there are a lot of opportunities for work. We do hear about the economic situation in Europe on our national news,, and it is grim!! I have seen the neighborhoods and the apartment buildings in Ukraine and Russia. I have seen the rural homes on the outskirts of cites,,, very poor conditions!! The conditions of the streets and sidewalks are very poor!! My vocabulary is very rich.I can read books, internet,etc. But i can not speak it. at all. I'm lack of practice.But even with practice foreign language wont be native language. I know Turkish very well.I' m working in Turkish company.I hear it everyday.I dont have any troubles with it.Turkish TV, internet,humour,difficult trunslations, archaic words - i dont remember when i last had difficulties with it.I can hear and understand and feel such meanings of language which i can not exactly translate to Russian.Do you think that i can speak Turkish as a native? .... The bar served large drinks,,, but they were really watered down,,,,, except for one night!! When I felt a little buzzed, I went back to my room! End of story!
