The biggest waste of time is trying to find any decent information in this forum anymore. I feel sorry for the new guys trying to find information here. What a joke. Only certain people are allowed to "flame" others then when they are flamed they run around crying that a criminal offense has occured here. This forum has disintergrated into a "Look at Me and My Big Checkbook" or "I am the great traveller that is going to save all you idiots from scammers." When a certain person exposes a scammer they celebrate like they have found the holy grail. A scammer in the FSU, Wow that's really unusual. I think the Moderators should stop postings of scammers on the forum boards. Try using personal responsibility and common sense, but Voltaire was correct in his observation. "Common sense is not so common and it really reflects to this forum many times. In another thread some goof said the married guys should post more? Why should we, I'm not going to waste my time justifying another persons existence here. This place which was once a great place for information is now loaded with ascerbic negative bigots. Pathological liars, trouble makers and the lot. I would suggest to many to find another place to find your information. I have found my soulmate through Fiance.com and used to find great information here. Now it's a ghost of what it used to be. You don't need a huge check book to find the lady of your dreams. You don't need methods or checklists, just decency, honesty and a conviction in knowing what you want. Don't waste time with these girls trying to be something you're not. There is no negativity in this thread, nasfan6. What I am pointing out is getting men who are far from the Former Soviet Union countries ( this encompasses the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand ) to think about what they are doing by providing info on the expenses and just how how expensive, time consuming and problematic with immigration authorities in there own countries it is by getting involved with a girl from a Former Soviet Union Country SO AS TO PREVENT A MAN FROM WASTING HIS TIME AND THE GIRLS TIME TOO. Bear in mind immigration laws in the US were tightened earlier this year limiting the amount of overseas fiances a yank could have and they had to be 5 years apart now. In Australia you only get two shots at an overseas fiance in your lifetime and they must be 5 years apart in the applications for a fiance visa, so its a huge risk if it don't work out. To get a FSU women into Australia now..everything must be 100% perfect in her paperwork, health and criminal record as well as the guys work and criminal record..if the smallest thing is wrong she will be denied the fiance visa..failure rate I believe for fiance visas at the Australian embassy in Moscow ( which process all faince visa for all FSU countries ) runs as high a 85%....so only 15 in 100 applications will pass through accepted. So you can do the personal trip, spend 10 to 15 thousands dollars on it and fall in love if lucky and she is the right girl and then face an 85% chance her fiance visa will be rejected...you stand a better chance of winning the jackpot on a poker machine by shoving 10 grand in, than succeeding in this business. For the girl,if shes been convicted of prostitution, fraud, theft, drug use or a violent crime,her fiance visa application will be refused and she will never get in..how does a man who writes to a girl on the internet and then goes to visit her, know what skeletons she has hiding in her closet beforehand ( what wrongs has she done..not all people are squeaky clean )..you don't know if shes done something naughty beforehand thats enough to get her canned permanently from getting a fiance visa and then you go visit her and blown thousands of dollars for nothing..you only find out when she gets her police clearance certificate and record and then find she has broken the law in the past and has got a record and then the consular officer at the embassy stamps her file with a big red stamp "visa refused". Theres a monumental amount of things that can go wrong here with overseas brides and fiance visas. This whole overseas "find a bride business" is fraught with dangerous risks..you got the scammers, gold diggers, dishonest women and immigration to deal with...its is a minefield. People must be provided with full information in order to decide if they are going to through with this as it takes a huge amount of committment and resources. Its not negativity, Nasfan6..ITS THE FACTS MAN, PURE AND SIMPLE! Out of the overseas brides, the ones from the FSU are the hardest to get through the immigration process ( authorities for some reason scrutinise them and there relationships with western men far more..perhaps its there scam reputation..in Australia there has been some embarrassing for the government here media exposure on scammer russian brides and immigration scams and they have really clamped down on applications for fiance visas from the FSU..they will examine all hers and your orifices now with a microscope and reject at the tiniest thing they don't like ). I get sick of some guys here who gloss this "find a Russian bride thing" up and make it sound like its easy to do like eating a cream cake..its far from easy. Its impossible for most men.You got to assess yourself and your chances and do your research and ask yourself "Do I have the time, committment and money to do this and can I wait at least 2 years if I am lucky to get a bride" ( while getting scammed in between which is likely ) The guys that go to Russia/Ukraine every 5 minutes must be millionaires! There definitely not everyday, average working folk what most of us are. The rule here is "Think about what you are doing beforehand and if its not feasible don't waste your time and the ladies time as well"...don't do this on a whim and a prayer just because you think Russian girls are better..they look the same as Western girls and there a few swans among the most plain ducklings and dating sites show only the swans and some of the swans are not real or serious or are very picky birds when it comes to men and don't fat or stinking things from the West. nasfan6 Member send PM   block PM add to buddies Send: 7/19/2006 12:30:34 PM   No negativity? Just cite one positive statement in your last post Aussieman? I won't comment on Australia's laws, but it is nothing like you propose for men to bring a fiance to the states, not even remotely close. I heard all the horror stories from previous posters on how difficult the process is, how much of a hassle it was to get into the states, etc, etc. We didn't have one single glitch all along in our process. The most difficult thing in the whole process was the acquisition of my wifes documents in Ukraine. Here is the pure and simple facts, If your and idiot and anal retentive in your country, you will be an idiot and anal rententive to most Russian and Ukrainian women. If you fall for the advertising of agencys, well then you deserve to be a fool and soon parted with your money. I am an average everyday american guy, I must have been lucky and beat the odds, or I'm extremely smart and earned it, or maybe I'm a little of both. The biggest problem is the losers that come in here and cry that this isn't possible, it isn't real, it's all a scam, needs to find a place they can all hang out together and cry about it. Before in this forum, it was discussed on scams and issues and difficulties of finding a bride in the FSU. I don't need a lecture from someone on the realities of life. I live everyday with the reality of my life. We all have choices to make. So let others learn it in a more positive way. I've read all your post's before, so you have a savior complex? You're going to save all the guys in here? Do yourself a favor and save yourself from yourself. I've never been one to follow people with a defeatist attitude, even when the odds are against me. Maybe that's why my situation worked with my wife. When you treat this as a shopping trip for a human being, you're deemed to failure. So you have the ugly ducklings and the swans are few and far between. Stay home, keep getting the same results in your life. I visited her in Moscow and everything was fine. She was able to obtain a tourist visa and now she and her son are staying with me for 30 days (10 left). Let's see Disney World for 8 days--you get the idea. I am ready to jump out the tallest window I can find and yesterday we were on the Skydeck at the Sears tower so that should work. All I know is what I experienced with my wife. If you have been communicating with this lady for two years, I think you know a hell of a lot more about the situation than any of us. My only observation is how did she get a tourist visa? Does she have a business of some heavy assests back home? Sooner, I'm always glad to help a new guy. I'm not going to tell you to google the world for information and the only places I have good information and contacts is Ukraine. Kiev, Donetsk, Mariupol and Crimea. Beyond those places all I would be doing is speculating and there is way too much of that done in this forum. Ukraine is an interesting country, I have enjoyed all my trips there and will be going back in the future to visit friends and family. So if you need help with Ukraine I will be glad to help. I don't waste my time with arguing with fiance.com, spend countless hours scammer hunting. We all are adults and know the risk's involved in this search. Also I would reccomend to any new guys to really research this forum for information. Almost three years ago a good guy from the UK kind of took me unders his wing. His name was TimH. he gave me great advice early on. Also guys like, Crashandsplash, Ditto, Dale E, GladiatorUK, WorldTrav02, World Traveller and many others I have missed. If you go back about two years and really read, it is packed with tons of information and none of the BS that is bantered about here he last year or so. Pick a Russian girl instead but avoid the ones from Moscow and St. Petersburg as they are too Westernised, spoilt and more likely to scam and these cities are very expensive ( on 2006 city survey of 150 of the Worlds cities, Moscow came in at number 1 as the Worlds most expensive city to live in and ST.Petersbutg was at 9.) My humble Melbourne, Australia came in at 74th most expensive and Sydney came in at number 12. Surprising Kiev, Ukraine was listed as the 21st most expensive city in the World which is outrageous considering the econmomic state of the Ukraine..most Ukrainians live below the poverty line. For a Russian woman, a smaller city such as Ekaterinburg ( still big with 1,000,000+ people ), Omsk ( 800,000 + people ) etc. would be ok but steer well clear of the Mari-El republic area ( all scammers here..gangs in operation ), Chekobsary ( a well known place of scammers ), Yoshkar Ola ( famous for scammers and large city in the Mari-El Republic on the Volgs river ) and Kazan ( another known hive of activity for scammers and gangs ). Russian woman are not perfect but they are not as big mouthed and argumentative as there Ukrainian counterparts and are more tolerant and adaptable, generally. No man wants or can live with a woman who has a big mouth..woman must know its place but with a Ukrainian girl you are asking for trouble. My ex-wife who was foreign but not from FSU ( she was Indian and these girls can be arrogant with a big mouth and insensitive and cold like a Ukrainian )..because of her big mouth that did not know when to be quiet was just one of many reasons why I left her after 12 years of marriage..I HAD ENOUGH OF HER AND THE BS!...this is very likely the kind of thing you will get with a girl from the Ukraine as they want to control too. Ukrainian woman whinge too much ( in Australia that mean to complain about everything )and can be very stubborn and lie at you, looking you in the eye. All women can scam, no matter where they are from so vigilance and common sense is the answer. When it comes to FSU women, generally us Aussie men are much smarter and analytical and can see through most deception..we just wont get on a plane over there for the hell of it..its outrageously expensive to do that so you have to really think before you act and we do that while a lot of you Euro trash and Yanks fly blindly into this with no thought and get scammed..this is my take on forums such as this reading all your stories..its stupid.
