What was 6 years ago, Danny? The accident happened in 1986, NOT 2006 actually, people started to return there after the fall of the USSR when security was lax. Ironically, that was also when the looting of Pripyat started. thousands of items were taken from there and sold all across Ukraine, Belarus and Russia. Furniture, car and truck parts, including whole engines and such. It was eerie and pristine and untouched for 5 years, a true ghost city. Several medical teams visit the residents inside the zone 4 times per year and check them out and to study the long term effects of the radiation. You also realize the cement cover was designed and built in under 5 MONTHS, NOT 5 YEARS, Another of your many lies? Did you know that more than 2000 people continued to work there until December of 2000 when the last reactor was shut down? Do you realize 1200 people STILL work there carrying out the decommissioning of the power plant? I ACTUALLY have a nuclear engineering degree and studied the place. Many of my photos have been copied and claimed by others as their own before foreigners were allowed to start touring unofficially in 2003. Now tours go officially since 2010. I have visited about 40+ times, have over 25,000 photos and hours and hours of video. Ive actually been INSIDE the plant
